VISUALLY IMPAIRED BOWLING CLUB

24 INNER WHEEL CLUBS MAKE UP DISTRICT 7, WHICH IS PART OF THE ASSOCIATION OF INNER WHEEL CLUBS IN GREAT BRITAIN AND IRELAND. THE DISTRICT RAISES FUNDS FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES BOTH AT A CLUB AND DISTRICT LEVEL, BY ORGANISING SOCIAL EVENTS IN AID OF SPECIFIC CHARITIES.

The Village Hall is used for social events within the local community and offers facilities for private hire and local Council meetings.

General charitable giving mainly in Leicestershire with an emphasis on helping young people through supporting youth organisations, serving and retired members of the Armed Forces through service-related charities, and the elderly and needy through supporting other existing charities mainly in Leicestershire

Village hall holding events such as quiz nights, bingo, plant sale to raise funds to keep hall functioning. Hired out to keep fit groups, wi, parish council. very much a meeting place for the whole community.

The principal activity of the charity was to rescue and provide shelter for stray, neglected, injured, unwanted and abandoned animals and find suitable homes, to make provision for the spaying or neutering of animals, and to advance the education of the public in animal ownership and care.

Current activities include visiting members in relation to welfare and finacial requirements. The followship sponsors members to take part in pilgrimages to verious shrines and locations including Lourdes, this is achieved by fundraising at events during the year which are planned by the fellowship committee. The fellowship gives support to persons with physical and mental disabilities.

Makes grants to religious organisations

Currently providing/subsidising expenses for those in need in our rural community to facilitate their general health and well being.

We provide and maintain the Village Hall as a community venue for the village of South Croxton

Education grants to students from primary through to Further education. Grants to youth groups such as Boy Scouts, Girl Guides, Duke of Edinburgh Scheme etc.

The Charity has been very active over the last 3 years, raising over £6,000 and funding a range of vital equipment for the Castle Medical group practice, with a patient list of over 15,000, in Ashby de la Zouch. Work on fund raising continues.

Provision of facilities for play, sport and recreation for the village of Ullesthorpe

To provide and maintain a local history museum in Castle Donington, Leicestershire. To catalogue, conserve and present the collection in line with accredited museum standards. To mount exhibitions annually reflecting the history of the community. To provide a service to the all public with an interest in Castle Donington history incuding local schools and other organisations.

PTA to fundraise for the school and community

All collections go to the Royal Air Force Association Wing Appeal.

THE PROMOTION OF COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHY RECREATION FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF LEICESTER AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY YOUNG PEOPLE BY PROVIDING GRANTS AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR INDIVIDUALS TO PARTICIPATE IN MULTI SPORTS AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITITIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO HOCKEY

The charity makes the village hall available as community facility for a variety of village sporting, recreational and similar activities.

WE HOLD EVENTS SUCH AS HALLOWEEN PARTY, SUMMER FAIR, PUB QUIZ ETC TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE SCHOOL

SUPPORTING THE SCHOOL AND PROVIDING EQUIPMENT AND SUBSIDISING TRIPS FOR THE CHILDREN WHICH THE SCHOOL COULD NOT ORDINARILY AFFORD.
