The Daniel Phelan Trust was set up in memory of Daniel Phelan. Specifically to promote good journalistic practice and to create educational pathways to encourage young people in South London to consider a career in journalism.We are currently engaged in promoting a writing competition for local schools and also designing an internship programme.

We provide social events for the elderly in the borough of Greenwich and surrounding boroughs which include weekly gentle exercise classes, weekly Luncheon Club, parties and outings. We also engage in community activities including putting on plays with local schools for the public and we also put on and attend culture exhibitions for Black History Month.

Our services are aimed at all members of a family as we believe families reflect the society in which they live, for us strong families results in a strong society. Our current work with youth is about keeping them grounded so we aim to teach young people the significance being independent, boosting their self esteem and confidence

Charity's activities this year include - regular Sunday worship services- children activities- outreach mission such as special prayer and helping people with social difficulties

To raise funds for our primary school facilities and organise social events.

GOOD SHEPHERD TABERNACLE IS INVOLVED IN VARIOUS WAYS IN SERVING THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. WE OFFER PRACTICAL CHRISTIAN BASED TEACHING AND PASTORAL SUPPORT TO PEOPLE OF ALL AGE GROUPS, YOUTH AND CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES, CAP MONEY MANAGEMENT TRAINING, COMMUNITY ACTION AND SUPPORT, HELP FOR THE HOMELESS AND OTHER VULNERABLE PEOPLE AND OVERSEAS AID AND MISSION.

ADVANCING THE CHRISTIAN FAITH IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STATEMENT IN SUCH WAYS AND PARTS OF THE UNITED KINGDOM OR THE WORLD AS THE DIRECTOR FROM TIME TO TIME MAY THINK FIT. PROMOTE AND PRESERVE GOOD HEALTH BY THE PROVISION OF FUNDS, GOODS OR SERVICE IN KIND INCLUDING PROVISION OF COUNSELLING AND SUPPORT IN SUCH PART OF THE UNITED KINGDOM OR THE WORLD AS THE DIRECTOR THINK FIT FROM TIME TO TIME.

Promotion of social inclusion among over 55's excluded from society & stimulating outside activities because they are housebound or whose disabilities affect their mobility; 1. Provision of escorted outings to places of interest & social get-togethers sometimes with a speaker; &2. A transport service to & from places of cultural interest, eg museums & theatres or alternative social events.

The object of the Charity is the provision of community participation in healthy recreation, in particular by the provision of facilities for playing sport, particularly cricket. Activities; sporting coaching, young people mentoring, liaison with schools, cricket county board, allied organisation in furthering the objects, participation in sporting events as in cricket league, fund raising events

LESCO exists to provide benefit to Somalis living in the London Borough of Lewisham, as well as surrounding London Boroughs, and to advance their education by the provision of classes in a range of subjects. We provide information on housing, welfare, health, immigration and other issues.

The Sea Cadet Corps is a national youth organisation for boys and girls aged 12 and 18 (with many units also having Junior Sea Cadets aged 10 and 12). It is open to all young people, regardless of race, religion or colour and draws its members from widely different backgrounds.

We fundraise for the relief of children in need. To assist children from deprived backgrounds in their education. Alleviate hardship by providing children with basic school equipment, toys and clothing. Promote good mental/physical health of children through advice and guidance. Providing an outdoor pursuits and Study Centre for use predominantly by school age children from the Orpington/Bromley/Kent areas, but more widely as availability allows. We ensure that young people from disadvantaged backgrounds have access to this facility through our charging policy. We are also working with groups local to the Centre who are providing support in the community.

Promoting local cohesion. Assisting local initiatives. Helping local people in dificulties.

CAFI, promote educational which help to eliminate poverty and disadvantaged amongst the BAME community groups based in Newham/London. Includes: learning and reading, homework schemes after school schemes, job skills development for the unemployed young people to move forward to the labour market and tackle the issues which are facing this group not to participate fully in community development.

Rescue/rehabilitate sick and injured wildlife and return them to their home territory. To respond/ take action to ensure the welfare of all animals in need brought to our attention . To accept casualities if member of the public or vet practice is able to bring them to us as we no longer have funds to replace or operate an ambulance.Tell young people & other groups how to protect wildlife.

To improve and promote the culture,education,health and social welfare of Sierra leoneans in the UK and elsewhere.
