The sisters work through their Pauline Books & Media retail centres, their wholesale operation and the internet, to bring a wide range of educational & religious books, posters, icon materials, etc to Catholics, members of other denominations and the public in general.

Priority is given to applications from Cheshire, Merseyside and South Lancashire and the charities supported by the settlor in his lifetime. Other charities who do not meet those criteria should not appy without prior invitation but should, on a single sheet, state briefly their aims and apply fully only on being asked to do so.

Gospel/Church Mission Advancement

Wirral Change operates an employment outreach service across Wirral. Wirral Changes targets hard to reach groups and helps individuals remove barriers to their employment by operating a holistic care package that includes education, health, mental health issues and general well being in a supportive and empowering environment.

The main objectives of the charity are: 1) The relief of poverty. 2) Where applicable, the advancement of religion. 3) The advancement of education. 4) The relief of the old and sick. 5) General charitable work wherever such work is needed throughout the world.

Energy Projects Plus is a Charity and Company and operates energy efficiency projects in Merseyside and Cheshire working with householders, local authorities, community groups and other organisations. The Charity provides a free impartial advice service and runs specific energy efficiency projects from its offices in Wallasey, Merseyside.

Wigan Family Welfare offer advocacy and counselling to both adults and children. It provides mental health advocacy, independent mental health advocacy, children's advocacy and supports a self advocacy group for people with Learning Disabilities . The counselling it provides is in a variety of settings from certain Secondary Schools to Sure Start Children's Centres.

Tom Harrison House is a specialist facility providing addiction treatment exclusively to military veterans, reservists, emergency personnel, and their families.

To provide transport for disabled people and community groups.

To promote such charitable purposes as the trustees shall in their absolute discretion think fit, including: Financial Resilience through debt advice and benefit maximisation; Food Security by hosting North Liverpool Foodbank; Other such activities that relieve poverty, sickness and distress and promote healthy living as the trustees shall determine.

The BME has a mission to advance the education and appreciation of the art, history, and science of music. The museum holds a collection of artefacts brought to life through audio-visual technology against a backdrop of Britain's social and political landscape. The British Music Experience fulfils its charitable objectives by operating a Museum housed in the Cunard Building, Liverpool.

We support artists from all disciplines by creating time and space for the development of ideas and philosophies around artists' work through, residencies, producing, commissioning, exhibitions, debate and discussion, touring and publishing. The Big Issue North Trust supports the homeless and vulnerably housed people who sell Big Issue North magazine in the North West, Yorkshire and the Humber. From providing financial aid during periods of hardship, to funding education and training courses, to projects such as breakfast clubs and home furnishing packages, it exists to help vendors to change their lives and achieve their goals.

We are a mentoring charity working with children in deprived communities to help them grow in competence and character. We improve self-confidence and develop numeracy, literacy, communication and memory skills, whilst reinforcing our core values of fairness, self-control, good judgement and staying power. We do this through 1 to 1 mentoring with positive role models and team activities.

WeMindTheGap bridges the gap between young people aged 16 -25 yrs, disadvantaged by their circumstances, and the wider community in the North West including North Wales, Cheshire, Merseyside & Manchester. Through the provision of totally holistic, paid traineeships the aim is to give new opportunities in life and work which address any gaps in maturation, aspiration, confidence, care and skills.

The object of the company is to provide a community transport service for inhabitants of Liverpool East, Knowsley and surrounding areas who are in need of such a service because of age, sickness or disability (mental or physical), or poverty, or because of a lack of availability of adequate public passenger services.
