The NUHA Foundation runs a free annual writing competition, known as the Blogging Prizes. To advance the education of preschool children in Malawi for the public benefit through providing educational resources such as books, toys, stationary, visual aids and any other educational materials to the providers of the Kothawira/Utiziro programme to enhance the cognitive, academic and social outcomes of children of marginalised and low income families.

We are running an after school project for young people.Young people from the black African community are benefiting from various activities including tennis table play, pool table, computer game, Nintendo play mentoring, professional advice, and guidance. This project is mainly targeting young people from Africa living in Bedford but no exclusively the wider community.

Adopt-a-School Foundation UK supports the creation and enhancement of a learning and teaching environment in underdeveloped and underperforming schools in Southern Africa in some of the most marginalised communities. The operating model addresses the complex needs of a particular school across teaching, leadership, social welfare needs and schooling infrastructure until independently sustainable.

The Likwenu Foundation will improve the quality of life and education for the people of Likwenu Primary School and the surrounding areas, as a means to alleviate poverty. This will be achieved by rebuilding school infrastructure and by improving education, leading to self-sufficient individuals making an increased contribution to their community.

Support schools and charities globally with donations of furniture and equipment

At Lessons for Life we believe education changes everything. In sub-Saharan Africa over 93 million children are out of school and just 25% of those that go to school complete their education. So, we work with local partners to help thousands of vulnerable children in Africa access a quality education. Since 2008, we have helped over 85,000 children, family and community members.

Provision of advice regarding home based palliative care in Malawi based on 10 years of experience. Financial support for: a) Orphans to cover education costs and some essentials (e.g. travel and food). b) A select number of ex-project staff and their family members to undertake tertiary level training. c) People connected to the project facing extreme hardship, e.g. after flooding.

We operate from the UK with family trustees based in England, Scotland and Wales. We work proactively, initiating projects working with civil sector organisations in Malawi and Ethiopia, and giving donations/grants primarily to charities in the UK and in Africa. We focus on maximising the effectiveness of our funding and on finding innovative ways of supporting beneficiaries.

The Organisation provides assistance to victims of war and natural disasters by providing organisations or countries affected with financial assistance, medical aid, building materials and construction of permanent or temporary structures. The Organisation also seeks to promote sustainable development in any region affected by the disaster and to advance education in relation to the environment.

Daffodils for Doris is a charity that focuses on empowering and and uplifting young persons and women who need assistance to continue their education, build their confidence in order to become successful contributors to society.

We currently work in the UK (Rugby, Warwickshire) where most of the fundraising and administrative work is done and aim to have our flagship projects in Northern Uganda to address the problem of perennial water shortages for human and livestock consumption and frequent droughts, crop failure and food deficits and to support commercialization of smallholder agriculture
