To give the opportunity to playbrass music for the entertainment of both participants and the public. to provide training for young people in music and in particular brass instrumentation . We play concerts, some for charitable purposes and also enter contests throughout the year.

Amateur sport

An affordable counselling service and mental health support for individuals in Newport and the surrounding areas of South Wales. Clients are encouraged to make a voluntary donation to help cover costs. Counsellors offer their services on a voluntary basis. The service also has an educational component, offering placements for trainee counsellors and those working towards accreditation hours.

To advance the education of the public in Chepstow and the surrounding area in Welsh language, arts and culture by the provision of lectures, classes, discussion groups, activities and information through the medium of the Welsh language.

Zimele UK exists to:1. fundraise to support the work of Zimele in Southern Africa,2. raise awareness of poverty and HIV in rural communities in Southern Africa,3. promote the development of projects that encourage independence and initiative rather than giving hand-outs,4. develop markets for the products made through the projects.

Payments to certain types of degree students, and to Pensioners receiving the State Pension, resident in Parish for more than one year

We assist with the provision of practical and financial assistance to the School, in order to improve the educational opportunities of all our students. We fundraise in order to donate to various School projects, and assist at most School events.Such activities are coordinated by a small volunteer Committee.

Grants for community activities/events

Tafflab makes grants to enterprise students who wish to start up their own businesses in disadvantaged communities. Applicants currently attend and are recommended by partner colleges. Tafflab interview to confirm eligibility, work with the Enterprise Champions employed by the colleges and provide mentoring by RSA Fellows. Regular meetings between mentors, mentees and champions confirm progress

To provide educational facilities for those members of the Ancient Parish of Trellech under 18 years of age. Also to provide a Community Hall for other members of the said community when not required for educational purposes.

During the past year The Trust has been very largely engaged in negotiating a lease for our principal area of interest in Tintern Parva; this involving Tintern CC, Welsh Water and The Church in Wales; details are vital before we can put forward a case to potential funders.We have also opened a dialogue with the owner of the derelict church in Chapel Hill.
