We are a long established community centre delivering a programme of activities designed to meet local needs. The centre is situated in the heart of a council estate in one of the most deprived wards of Newcastle.

We are a friendly, motivated and progressive brass band. We have a flexible approach to membership and welcome players of varying ages and abilities. We have a training band, offering free tuition and instruments loan. We rehearse and are very active in the local community, representing Trimdon (and the North East) at concerts, civic functions and in competitions (locally and nationally).

DANCE KALEIDOSCOPE DESCRIPTIONFormed 1964. Charity 1977 Reg.No. 516104To give training and performance opportunities to young dancers hoping to work in the entertainment field. The Company members prepare scenery, lighting, costumes, administration for productions. Bi-annual European tours, ballets and musicals. Support to charities.

Provide weekly club offering a range of social, recreational and leisure activities including disco, 5-aside football, numeracy, literacy and computer skills, pool and an opportunity to meet friends.

Income is generated by 3 ways - from membership subccriptions, donations and fundraising.

We provide facilities and promote activities in educational, social and cultural fields. Although located in a small village within the Gateshead metropolitan area, our catchment area for users and visitors extends more widely, which is reflected in the next section.

The Trust holds land and buildings which it makes available to several schools in Newcastle upon Tyne. It also acts as a forum for those schools with higher education institutions and employers in the city to coordinate educational programmes and improve outcomes. The Trust works to embed the schools in the local community and strengthen links between the trust, schools, careers and community.

Weekly activities:Tai Chi, dancing & singing classes; Monthly activities: health talk, health walk, cooking & arts and crafts class; Annual: thematic conference & outing; Others: BME advocacy and Shelter Housing drop-in advice sessions,food safety certificate courses; We also actively participate in City Council's, BEACON's and a number of large organisations' activities.

The Fund aims to provide assistance for vulnerable,disabled, disadvantaged or deprived groups of people or individuals within the Northumbria Police area as well as supporting community groups.

The performance of music in the community and the teaching of brass instrument playing to people of all ages in the community

Provision of horse riding activities for children and adults with disabilities. We operate near Morpeth and draw our riders from the city and surrounding areas. Due to the specialisms of our instructors there is particular provision for those with visual impairment and with learning disabilties. Our riders have had great success in regional and national competition.
