The Charity operates through Sunday worship including activties for children. Additionaly we operate a breakfast for homeless people on a Saturday under the title Bridges. The Church offers a breadth of pastoral care especially for vulnerable people and seeks to work in partnership with the Swift Centre and Alternatives, two local charities, to serve young people and vulnerable families.

The principal activities of the social enterprise are an artisan bakery, bicycle workshop and light manufacturing. This work provides time limited (usually 3 months) trainee placements for men and women who suffer from mental ill health and forms a part of their recovery and social inclusion. The aim of the enterprise is a move on of trainees to employment or further training.

To improve and maintain the Old Spotted Dog ground, clubhouse, and warehouse for the object of the charity which is to provide sports facilities for recreation and leisure time occupation to the inhabitants of London Borough of Newham and its surrounding areas.

We support Asian mothers who are fleeing domestic abuse. Our services enable women to gain support and understanding within a safe and confidential environment. Stratford Methodist church provides worship and mission. Opportunities for worship in the Methodist Christian tradition are primarily through Sunday services, including Sunday school for children. Mission to the community takes the form of community work activities within the building, i.e. parents and toddler group, groups for elderly and letting of rooms for community use.
