The provision of scouting and guiding activities for local children. We currently have groups for each of squirrels, beavers, cubs, scouts, rainbows, brownies and guides.

The Trustees hold upon trust the village community centre and recreation ground for the use of the inhabitants of the parish of Wattisfield, Suffolk without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for meetings, lectures and classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the life of the said inhabitants

General recreation activities for Yaxham village and surrounding district

The society provides lectures, excursions, visits, walks and study days, which are open to the public. There is also a library which is open to members and others by appointment, and a journal, which is distributed to members and libraries. The society also offers research grants and book grants to students of archaeology or history, and grant assistance for archaeological projects.

To provide grants to promote education (including social and physical training) to persons under 25 years of age who, or their parents, are residents of Diss and attended at any time a school in Diss or the neighbourhood. The Trustees will also support small business start ups to assist young people in their chosen career and provide funding to organisations involved in youth work locally.

SHARP is a long-term, multi-period, multi-disciplinary independent research project set up to investigate the entire range of human settlement and land use in a typical north-west Norfolk parish, from the earliest times to the present day.

To provide and maintain a community hall for the inhabitants of the parishes of Loddon and Chedgrave to be used for meetings, lectures and classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

Raising funds to operate and develop the RAF Coltishall Heritage Centre. Opened on 23 June 2021 the Centre is in the former Main Guardroom on the site of the former RAF station. The facilities, open to the public and under the Trust's management, include exhibition rooms, a lecture and educational/meeting room and external reconnaissance cabins next to the building

Fundraising for additional and extra curriculum activities to benefit the pupils. Between 2023 and 2026 we are focusing on supporting with the generation of funds to support therapy provision and equipment, additional extra-cirricular resources plus supporting the cost of visits and trips.We also continue to raise funds for items such as mini buses, day outs and specialist equipment/resources.

Gooch's Charity owns properties in the Parishes of Beetley and Hoe, Norfolk. Income from rents is apportioned between North Elmham United Charities (3/50ths share) and the remainder (47/50ths share) is applied to the maintenance of the properties. Any surplus income, after apportionment/maintenance, is given in support of the work of the East Dereham Relief in Need Charity (Reg.No.211142)
