To acquire, restore, preserve, maintain display and use for public benefit, heritage wooden boats and other wooden maritime vessels and so advance public education in the historical significance of such boats and vessels and the skills and crafts used in their construction, maintenance and use.

Administers its property in Catfield; farmland reed and sedge fens, two staithes and a boatyard. Applies the rental income and environmental grants to benefit the poor of the parish, mainly as an annual distribution to households who declare they are in financial need.

The Charity's activities are to advance any charitable purpose for the benefit of the inhabitants of the village of Upwell in Norfolk, in particular but not exclusively the advancement of education, the relief of poverty and the upkeep and maintenance of the village church. The Trustees have a policy of providing education grants for youngsters in Upwell.

To promote social inclusion for the public benefit by preventing people from becoming socially excluded, relieving the needs of those people who are socially excluded and assisting them to integrate in to society.

Raising money for Robert Kett Primary School - Summer BBQ, Christmas Market, Helping Children select Christmas Gifts, School Discos, improvement to the school playing equipment, supporting of the school's Story Bus.

The charity arranges general meetings monthly when an outside speaker is invited to present an illustrated talk to members on a variety of subjects. Members are also able to participate in interest groups covering activities such as art & crafts, film & theatre, languages & literature, food & drink, card & board games and various sports. Coffee mornings and social excursions are arranged also.
