VILLAGE SCHOOL

Charitable Activities within the village of Swanton Morley,Norfolk

Provision of a Village Hall for Bergh Apton and the surrounding villages

Our aim is to provide the opportunity of riding in North Norfolk for special needs children and some adults who might benefit in their general health and well being. There is no charge but donations welcome. We provide riding for 2 schools and some individuals on Tuesday mornings in term time. We are always looking for volunteers to help and we welcome new riders if we have availability.

Providing outdoor recreation field and play area. Providing indoor space for community activities for a variety of groups including children and young persons. Raising funds for the maintenance of the Village Hall.

Raising funds for the school.

Teaching Horse riding to children with learning difficulties from three local schools. The charity hires ponies from a local riding stables.

To promote, maintain, improve and advance the education of the public particularly in arts activities. To advance and encourage the study and practice of Music, Drama, Dance, Literature, Art and Craft by the promotion of a Competitive Festival each year.

The Society was founded in 1930 to encourage the study and preservation of Norfolk records and to publish editions of documents relating to the history of the county. It normally publishes one volume per year.

Childrens party/disco. Quiz & chips evenings. Summer BBQ with stalls & raffle. Mother, Father and Christmas Shops

The charity raises funds by holding events aimed at young children and parents in order to provide extra educational and recreational resources for the children at Drayton Community Infant School.

We provide non-educational events for the Children at Kenninghall Primary School. The events that we hold include a firework display, movie afternoons, BBQ's & school discos. The money that is raised at these events are to contribute towards the wellbeing of pupils and resources for the school.

Fund raising to provide extra funds for the school, regular donations and specific projects.Social events for the children

Village hall to provide amenity facilities for local area. Currently: physical and mental well-being including pilates and yoga, bridge club, archaeology group, village social events including quiz nights, summer barbecues and armistice day celebrations, private lettings for children's parties and wedding receptions for the adjoining St Peter's church.

The association provides a community centre, a multi-games area and a garden with bench seating. It also acts as a conduit for two way exchange of information and offers advice and advocacy.

We rescue homeless dogs and after a period of assessment we pair them with ( mainly ) older people who express feelings of loneliness and isolation.We offer financial support if needed and assign a volunteer to visit at least weekly to walk the dog but importantly to encourage the person to walk in an effort to widen their social circle.

Hire village hall for general public use, raise funds by hiring fees, donations and fundraising to manage, maintain & improve village hall & its facilities.

To support the Church of England day schools. The building endowment, reparation or restoration of Churches of the Church of England. All where Low Church Evangelical principles are taught or preached.

To provide support for adults and Young Leaders with their roles in the provision of Scouting activities within the Central Norfolk Scout District. To provide district wide activities for Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers. Provision and upkeep of a District camping resource at Garveston

Financial assistance to worthy individuals and organisations in the Parish of Runton.

Community-building activities. A place for men and women to meet informally to minimise isolation and have companionship. Activities include woodworking and many hobbies, as defined by members wishes

Provides opportunity for amateur singers to train together to perform at least three concerts per year within the community. Each concert also promotes and assists with fundraising for other local charities.

RAISING FUNDS AND MAINTAINING VILLAGE HALL FOR CONTINUING COMMUNITY USE

To Assist the Training of Candidates for Ordination in the Church of England, whose Financial Resources would not otherwise admit of such Training.
