A YOUTH DEVELOPMENT ORGANISATION RAISING AWARENESS OF THE COUNTRYSIDE

Provides almshouses for retired persons of good character who are poor persons inhabiting Barnoldby-le-Beck and the neighbourhood thereof

Walker Street child contact centre offers a facility where children of separated families can enjoy contact in a neutral meeting place with one or both parents, and sometimes other family members, in a safe and comfortable environment.

Woodworking, Stained Glass Window making, Gardening.

Religious Activities including :- Sunday School - Youth Work - etc.

Children's' Ice Hockey club training weekly and playing games during the season.

Entertain patients, staff and visitors of hospitals and health and wellbeing institutions within Northern Lincolnshire and the East Riding of Yorkshire

Playing wheelchair basketball for people with physical disabilities and learning difficulties. Allowing them to take part in sport and to mix socially with other people of similar difficulties. Buying and maintaining very expensive wheelchairs.

Manage a community facility, providing activities which are inclusive for people of all ages. Provide training and education, advice and advocacy services. Work in partnership to develop and maintain green and open space, financial inclusion and to gradicate fuel poverty. Develop multi agency partnerships.

The provision and maintenance of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of the Parish of Laceby without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for meetings, lectures and classes, and for other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

Provide and maintain place of worship. Hold services (public), supply devotional artefacts and icons. Promote awareness and understanding of Orthodox Christian faith via publications, educational material. Support of priest. Public witness. Perform devotional acts and missionary outreach. Make donations to support relief of poverty and understanding of Orthodox Christian faith.

The making of grants to charitable institutions and for charitable objectives within the Masonic Province of Lincolnshire.

Scouting

The Choir provides education through choral music from all periods and genres to its members and audiences alike. It aims to innovate both in choice of repertoire and delivery and to introduce new people to choral singing whilst seeking to achieve the highest possible standards of music making.

To mobilise encourage, foster and maintain the interest of the public in the patients and the support of the work of the Grimsby Hospitals by means of voluntary service.

The society promotes Hindu culture and celebrates Hindu festivals whilst bringing together the whole Community in the area to promote better understanding and integration. Also studying of the Hindu scriptures, history, literature, Indian classical dances, Mindfulness and Yoga.

To provide a competitive and public platform for amateurs of all ages to perform the Arts: music, speech and drama with the educational benefit of encouragement and guidance from internationally recognised and qualified specialist adjudicators.

The Museum produces a range of displays. Some are long term, e.g. Railways, others are short term to show aspects of the collections held by the Museum. Displays are mounted to celebrate local anniversaries of significance. Documents , photos and publications are available to consult or purchase. An education group provide a range of activities for local schools and societies.
