SERVICES INCLUDE INFORMATION UPDATES; COMMUNITY INFORMATION & VOLUNTEERING DIRECTORIES; NETWORKS; PRACTICAL SUPPORT TO HELP PEOPLE REMAIN INDEPENDENT AT HOME; HARROGATE COMMUNITY HOUSE

The Trust was established primarily for the benefit of the population of rural villages and towns within the boundary of the old North Riding of Yorkshire. Whilst most contributions go to established charities, all good causes will be considered and investigated. Only in extremely rare and special circumstances does the Trust make donations to individuals or charities outside the specified area.

We are a thriving, York based, community theatre and social hub, hiring out our space and facilities to groups and individuals, and providing a venue for social activities and meetings likely to benefit the communities we serve.

As a community centre, we provide a base for four non profit organisation and two community spaces for hire for a range of activities. We are a community anchor, where people can come together, learn together and develop solutions together to provide a connected, resilient and well-developed community where residents and community potential are realised.

Promotion of the Christian faith through worship, teaching and service. We have 21 church communities based around the area of Ripon, Boroughbridge, bedale and Masham in the county of North Yorkshire. As well as worship we offer pastoral care and service to our communities.

The management and planning of regular acts of public worship withing the churches in the circuit. The provision of minister to work within the circuit and providing spiritual direction and discipling of the members in the Christian faith. Encouraging and developing pastoral work visiting sick and bereaved and extending outreach into the community.Training and development of local preachers

Team Solan is a charity created to help people impacted by a cancer. diagnosis or bereavement. Our aim is to help improve the quality of life of those affected by cancer within the North East of England. We provide bespoke help, support, advice and signposting for families and individuals who are dealing with the turmoil that cancer can bring.

Undertaking education, research and conservation

Grants are made to other charitable or appropriately constituted bodies in response to specific written applications. Policy favours, but not exclusively, initiatives that benefit communities that are linked in some reasonably direct way to the Fitzwilliam Estates in Cambridgeshire and Yorkshire or the Naylor-Leyland Estate near Ruthin. Grants tend to be one off, not merely for annual expenses.

Next Steps supports people with mental health problems in Ryedale, North Yorkshire, by providing a drop in centre, activities and outreach projects. Next Steps is governed by Trustees, which includes local professionals and service users. Our objectives are to provide emotional support, information, guidance, sign posting, rehabilitative activities and training opportunities.

PRESCHOOL CARE AND EDUCATION TO CHILDREN AGED FROM 2 YEARS TO 5 YEARS OF AGE. ALSO PROVIDE BREAKFAST CLUB, AFTER SCHOOL CLUB AND HOLIDAY CLUB TO CHILDREN AGED 4 YEARS TO 11 YEARS OF AGE

Regular public worship open to all. Provision of sacred space for personal prayer. Pastoral work including visiting the sick and bereaved. Teaching of Christianity. Taking of religious assemblies in schools. Provision of youth groups. Promoting the whole mission of the church through provision of activities for senior citizens, parents and toddlers and other special need groups.

Restoration and maintenance of heritage LNER carriages for the public to enjoy and travel in on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR). Training volunteers and educating the public in the techniques of heritage railway coach building.Building a library of technical knowledge for sharing with other heritage carriage restorers

To educate the public in the musical and dramatic arts and to further the development of public appreciation and taste in the said arts, in particular by providing training in the skills associated with artistic practice and staging artistic performances, plays, dramas, comedies, operas, operettas and other dramatic and operatic works.

The objectives of YTT is to relieve the poverty, advance the education and promote the health, social and economic welfare of the Gypsy / Traveller community in and around the York area. The core work includes advice, advocacy, conflict resolution, anti-discrimination and promotion of better health, education, community development and social cohesion.

Pioneer Projects employs arts-based activities to improve wellbeing, develop skills, enhance learning, encourage social inclusion, support individuals confidence-building and promote healthy approaches to life and living. We offer a variety of arts-based activities to the whole community, as well as some specifically for distinct vulnerable groups facing exclusion and health inequalities.

To further the interests of residents and businesses in, and visitors to the Mashamshire region of North Yorkshire, to establish and operate a Mashamshire Community Office and to work in liaison with the Police and other authorities to provide information and services for tourists, residents and businesses.

NISCU is a non-denominational organisation committed to Christian ministry and to acting co-operatively with local churches in its work with young people. It acts as a resource for local schools so that the central beliefs of the Christian faith may be communicated to young people in an appropriate way as part of their education. It operates in seven geographical areas.

We provide free period/incontinence product's, toiletries, clothing, shoes, bedding & food to anyone in need across Tess Valley. The customers we support are people referred to us from our referral partners. The item's given to beneficiaries are donations made by the public or purchased with funding from other sources. We support anyone with financial, emotional, vulnerability or crisis issues.
