The club provides puppy socialisation and basic obedience classes for dogs and their owners on a weekly basis. We offer help in understanding and solving problems relating to dog ownership and also help organise and attend local events where we can promote understanding of dogs and of responsible dog ownership.

Village hall activities include musical concerts, domino drives, parties, fundraising, social and community meetings, also available for parish council meetings, private hire, funeral teas, film shows etc.

To promote provision for recreation or other leisure activity for the benefit of the residents of Speeton with the object of improving the condition of life of the said residents. The Charity manages a sports field under a 98 year lease from the local Council together with land in its own ownership whereby it provides use of playing fields for recreational purposes for the inhabitants of Brompton and the surrounding neighborhood, facilities for sport recreation and leisure time for the purpose of relaxation. We also manage Weavers Pavilion.

Promoting community activities; providing social and other facilities for local communities.

We offer practical help mainly for residents who are mainly elderly or disabled such as transport, domestic support and household assistance.We also operate a free befriending service in order to alleviate loneliness and relieve isolation.We support local activities for the elderly and infirm.

The Thornton le dale bowling club provides facilities and seeks to promote the game of bowls for the people of the village and surrounding areas

We rent out the Village Hall to users who do exercise, art, have speakers, quizzes, film nights, WI, Luncheon Club, Village meetings, social meetings, private parties and functions.

Special School catering for pupils aged 2 to 19 years of age with severe and profound multiple learning and physical difficulties. Provided a range of specialist equipment to support and enhance the curriculum. Made improvements to the school grounds and environment. Funded educational visits and trips. Bought in theatre groups and performers.

To provide a sports field in the village of Egton including pavilion, cricket pitch and practice nets for senior and junior cricket teams. A tennis/netball court is provided and also a children's play area. A playing field is maintained for any other sporting activities required.

Trust document states the hall be run for the benefit of the local community. Local bodies including Parish council, local agricultural show, tennis, football & cricket club hold meetings and fundraising events. There is a book cafe and Kidz club. The hall is let for yoga, pilates, art classes, etc and other social occasions. A side room is let on a permanent basis to a wedding photographer.

We raise funds to support the development of Key Stage 1 & 2 children attending St Josephs School in Otley

The grant of small sums to young people aged roughly between 11 and 18 and disabled people, who wish to develop their sporting and athletic talents and who demonstrate a financial need to the satisfaction of the trustees. The area of benefit is North Yorkshire and the city of York.

Lectures on a range of subjects and visits to places of interest. The Society produces the 'Richmond Review' annually which features committee reports, list of members and articles of historical and local interest. The Society is concerned with all matters both historical and current within the the town and district of Richmond, North Yorkshire.
