SCOUT GROUP

The school has participated in many activities this year to enhnace the children's education including trips to the theatre, Ripley Castle, Yorvik Centre, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Bagshaw Museum, Oakwell Hall and Crucial Crew. The Y6 children took part in aweek long residential to Northumberland and Y4 children a weekend in Malham.

Arrange and organise events for the enjoyment of the residents of Spofforth and the surrounding areas to raise funds to ensure the village's heritage and environment is maintained.

We raise money through events such as sponsored swims and runs, dinner dances, beetle drives Bingo evenings and fashion shows.

To provide a facility within the community which can be used by community projects, sports groups and individuals for private hire.

Provide facilities in the form of a building with furniture, cooking/catering equipment and other services for the use of local charities, voluntary organisations, other bodies and private individuals to engage in their community or other appropriate activities, essentially for the benefit of those living in the area defined by the charity's title

Help run fund raising events for Hellifield Primary School pupils.This enables us to purchase equipment and contribute towards school outings.

Leeming Village Hall provides a meeting place for a variety of users. Currently these are: Craft group, Art group, CAST Dog Training, Bedale Band, Pokemon Children's Club, Upholstery classes and many private functions too - parties, disco, charity fairs etc.The Trustees organise a monthly coffee morning for residents of the village to meet and socialise.

SUPPORTING THE PROVISION OF THE SCARBOROUGH MUSIC CENTRE WHICH PROVIDES A RANGE OF MUSICAL ENSEMBLES/ORCHESTRAS/BANDS FOR LOCAL CHILDREN TO ENJOY AND ENRICH THEIR MUSICAL EXPERIENCE

Sewing Groups, Young Farmers, Parish Council Meetings and private children's parties.

Promote the growing and exhibiting of chrysanthemums throughout the North of England

Manage the operation,maintenance and provision of Wass Village Hall facilities for the benefit of the Wass - North Yorkshire - community. Hire of hall facilities for recreational purposes, parties and group meetings.

Assisting in the protection and preservation of life at sea

Money raising events. Support village social events eg West Witton Feast.
