The Main activites of the Association, in support of its aims, are the running of Summer Schools, Exhibitions, other training events, the production of a quarterly Journal and the dissemination of information and resources to its affiliated Guilds.

Provision of Sail Training to Young People

ARCOS' overall objective is to improve the quality of life for people who have communication and/or swallowing difficulties, and of their carers and families. This involves the promotion and provision of specialist training, comprehensive therapy and suitable research.

We empower women and girls to get active, and stay active, for life. Our current focus is funding and supporting organisations to empower girls aged 10-18 to try new activities at school, in their communities and at home/online to find what they love to get moving. We do not operate an open grants programme, but fund strategic partners in the UK to achieve our mission.

We are the UK HQ of the Free Methodist Church with 25 Churches in GB, 5 in NI, 3 affiliates in England,1 in Eire. In 2016 we furthered our religious and charitable work by operationally, financially, and spiritually supporting new and existing churches in the UK, raising funds/volunteers for international childcare, a missionary hospital in Rwanda, other overseas mission and humanitarian relief .
