The BSS promotes all matters relating to sleep medicine and education to professionals involved in the field. Two influential scientific meetings are run annually.

BackCare (registered as the National Back Pain Association) is an independent national charity that helps people manage and prevent back pain by providing information, promoting self help, encouraging debate and funding research into better back care.

Promoting the care and upbringing of children by LGBT adopters and foster carers. Helping to create a wide pool of adopters and foster carers by raising awareness, and by promoting their utilisation and fair treatment. Advancing public awareness and acceptance of these families.

Enactus connects students, academic and business leaders through entrepreneurial-based projects that empower people to transform opportunities into real, sustainable progress for themselves and their communities.

Grants awarded to help with the education of the sons and daughters of commercial travellers, sales representatives and manufacturers' agents, where the family has suffered adversity, for children at state, private day or boarding schools, college or university. A parent must have travelled to sell to the trade or business, not direct to the public. Children usually aged between 4 to 25.

Making grants for capital projects to organisations which are located close to where C & J Clark Ltd employees, ex employees, pensioners and their dependents live. Occasionally grants for startup costs but not to individuals nor for running costs.Examples of recipients of recent grants have included schools, hospitals, community facilities, sports, village halls, preservation etc

Provision of wheelchair accessible boats on public waters all over the UK to provide disabled people with hassle-free and independent access to waterborne activities such as nature watching, pleasure boating, powerboating and angling.

The primary objective of the charity is to promote, maintain, improve and advance education, particularly by the production of puppet shows, educational plays and the encouragement of the Arts, including the arts of drama, mime, dance, singing and music.

To relieve and assist persons in need who are or have been engaged in hardware/DIY, housewares, brushware, pottery, glass, builders merchants, ironmongery, garden supply, and all allied trades, and their dependants, in particular but not exclusively by providing advice, support and financial assistance.

Run soup kitchens (gratis) providing food, clothing and other support as deemed necessary. Provide temporary over-night shelter for homeless men on an ad-hoc basis. Find assistance for alcoholics and drug addicts.Christian preaching and evangelisation at various parishes, schools, retreats and conferences. Hospital chaplaincy. Various works to promote respect for all human life at every stage.

Pensioners in need of assistance are identified by Pensioner Programme Officer and a proposal is made to the Trustees as to how the Charity may assist the Pensioner. The Trustees may make a grant or an interest free loan. The latter enables the Charity's funds to be recycled and assist other Pensioners in due course.

The National Youth Arts Trust exists to do something about inequality in the performing arts industry and to ensure a career in the arts is accessible to all. Our bursaries and drama projects help talented students from disadvantaged backgrounds train in dance, music and drama.

The Marc Fitch Fund supports research and publication, chiefly in the local and regional history of the British Isles, in the fields of Archaeology, History, Historical Geography, History of Art and Architecture, Heraldry and Genealogy.

The charity's mission is to provide free access to quality medical information to healthcare staff in the developing world. It produces educational films and other resources for distribution to healthcare workers.

The charity works to raise funds to support the rescue, rehabilitation, care and treatment of Hungarian Vizslas and related breeds, predominately in Hungary. Part of this is supporting the network of foster homes, predominately in Hungary, during this rehabilitation, care and treatment. We also find adopters and forever homes for those dogs suitable to be rehomed in the UK. We promote and educate.

The Charity is a Catholic Religious Order whose members devote themselves to a life of prayer and pastoral activities in a range of settings: Retreat, by which members of the public who require an understanding of their spiritual and/or life experiences and guided and supported; Parish Work, by which members of the Order engage with and support the public through parish pastoral activities.

Restored is a Christian charity working to speak up about violence against women and girls, to equip the church to stand against domestic abuse and to support survivors. We host an online community of more than 650 women who have been subjected to domestic abuse and are developing the Restored Beacon Network of churches to provide support for survivors in their community.

We provide respite holidays for families who have a child suffering from the life-threatening illness of Cystic Fibrosis. Each family is referred to us by their CF child's hospital. Holidays are for families from all areas of the UK, and are taken within the UK.
