The Club exists to provide singing tuition in the Barbershop style, under the auspices of the British Association of Barbershop Singers, to any member of the community who wishes to participate in singing and performing to audiences on an amateur basis. We are a small charity based at the Nottingham Childrens Hospital School and our aim is to make a difference to the lives of seriously or terminally children who attend the School.

To advance the education of students of The Nottingham Emmanuel School by providing or assisting in the provision of educational, recreational and other charitable facilities in augmentation of such facilities financed via the Local Authority. In furtherance of this object Trustees may undertake activities which promote the charitable work of the School and further the education of the students.

To help poor persons over 60 years whom attend a Methodist Church in Nottingham and charitable organisations situate in the City of Nottingham.

To preserve for the benefit of the towns people of Nottingham and of the nation at large, the architectural constructional and landscape heritage of the Nottingham Park Estate.

To provide treats and morale boosters for children and young people who are suffering from a chronic illness or are terminally ill.

Sporting activity with children

The charity serves the communities within Derby extending to Derbyshire and surrounding towns and cities through faith based activities. Providing religious education and general well being support to people of all ages, social groups and ethnicity. Other activities include prayer networks, senior citizens coffee mornings, bible studies. Baby blessings, wedding blessings and funerals.

Run a leadership programme for young people which facilitates self development and encourages the concept of service to others and country. We promote links with similar programmes in Africa, and organisations and institutions in the UK and other western countries.

To benefit the residents of Woodborough Parish and the neighbourhood, without discrimination, by associating together the said residents and local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of benefiting the Institute's users.

After a long period of restriction due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have are now able to get back into the community reconnecting them all through activity. As the lock down restrictions have eased, we have been supporting elderly vulnerable residents to become active. Providing activities and support in key community hubs in their area.

We run events to fundraise for our local primary school. The events are a mix of ones for children, families at the school and the wider local community.

IN ORDER TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN FAITH ACCORDING TO THE PRINCIPLES OF THE EVANGELICAL DENOMINATION IN THE CITIES OF NOTTINGHAM AND DERBY; AND TO RELIEVE POVERTY AMONG REFUGEES, ASYLUM SEEKERS WITHIN THESE REGIONS THE CHURCH ORGANISES FUND RAISING ACTIVITIES TO RAISE MONEY AND USES DIFFERENT FORMS OF DONATIONS SUCH AS TITHES.
