Home-Start Newark offers a simple preventative service to families under pressure who have at least one child under 5 years old. We offer support in the home by volunteers who are all parents themselves, offering friendship,practical help and a much needed listening ear. Helping parents by reducing isolation, building confidence and theirfore increasing the well-being of children

PROMOTING IN THE ECCLESIASTICAL PARISH THE WHOLE MISSION OF THE CHURCH

The Potting Shed Church is a rural church community in the middle of Nottinghamshire. It seeks to nurture followers of Jesus, especially amongst families, children and youth. We hope to connect with those not presently engaging with existing models of rural church and to resource established rural churches. We meet on Sundays and midweek in a Barn and use Zoom and social media to build community.

Providing people with learning disabilities with service and support (in Nottinghamshire) with a focus on empowering them to enjoy their lives and achieve as much as they are able. Open six days weekly sessions cover preparing for work and volunteering, confidence,self esteem,friendships,being part of the community, support to get healthier and fitter,socialising, civil rights,managing your money.

Training adults with learning disabilities in a realistic working environment to gain qualifications in catering. The Charity runs a country park caf+® at Vicar Water in Clipstone, that offer the trainees the opportunity to practice their skills and raise funds for the charity.

To enhance the development and education of children under statutory school age.

Advancement of education. In furtherance of this, Making it! Enterprises Limited was incorporated in October 1997. The principal activities of the subsidiary have been the letting of office space, managing conference facilities and the making it! discovery centre for family and educational purposes. The making it! discovery centre closed at the end of April 2015.

The Wolfpack Project is an ambitious Nottingham based charitable incorporated organisation (CIO) dedicated to reducing loneliness & social isolation amongst younger people & adults.Our vision is to help young people & adults to become better connected with the community around them; empowered to combat loneliness, broaden their support network and establish new friendships.

The objectives of the Trust are the making of charitable donations for the promotion of health, development of physical improvement, advancement of education and the relief of poverty, distress and sickness.

Newstead Miners' Welfare Trust is at the forefront of social and economic regeneration in an area high on the indices of local deprivation. Primary activities include: Cafe; social meeting; training, office and conference facilities; fully internet linked IT Suite; access to local service providers including local councils, and drop-in facilities for Job Club and other community support services.

Provides quality childcare and education for 2 to 5 year old children, sessional or full day care.

The charity provides and maintains facilities for the recreation and leisure-time for the benefit of the inhabitants of Gedling and Maperley Plains. The charity continues to operate an Occupational Licence to the Mapperley Plains Recreation and Social Club Ltd. for the provision of a Members Social Club.

The relief of poverty, suffering or distress; the advancement of education; the promotion of health; the provision of recreation and leisure facilities in the interests of social welfare; and the improvement of efficiency of charities and community organisations in direct pursuit of their charitable objects by the provision of education and training.

As a charitable business, the Directors are devoted to opening a care home for older people, run with a Christian ethos. Meanwhile the charity runs three clubs for older people in the Nottingham area who are experiencing isolation and loneliness to enable them to make new friends and re-engage with the community.

Rotherham Evangelical Church seeks the advancement of the Christian faith in accordance with its Basis of Faith primarily, but not exclusively, within Rotherham and the surrounding neighbourhood; and such other charitable purposes as shall, in the opinion of the charity trustees, put into practice the teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ in accordance with its Basis of Faith.

We run Youth Orchestras for young people in Nottingham and its environs. We run three orchestras - training, intermediate and senior plus two jazz bands. We work towards public performances of music on a broadly termly basis. We engage professional tutors and conductors to work with and enthuse our players. Regular workshops, residential weekends and tours also take place.

To use donations and legacies made by the general public for the benefit of patients in the East Midlands area and to provide support for our staff within the Trust.

Brinsley Animal Rescue rescues pets, wild animals and farm animals, our aim is to re home pets and farm animals into life-long loving homes and release wild animals back into the wild. Where we cannot rehome pets and farm animals, we provide them with permanent sanctuary.

To work with the local community to restore the former Derby Canal as a navigable waterway from Sandiacre to Swarkestone via Derby as close as possible to the original route, creating a cruising ring and reconnecting Derby to the national canal network maximising the sustainable economic, job creation, environmental, nature conservancy, leisure, heritage and educational benefits for all.
