Home-Start provides a unique service for families - recruiting and training volunteers to support parents with young children at home.

We are a family oriented, community centred church and we provide a place of worship and fellowship for people of all ages, cultures and race. We are committed to empowering individuals to turn their potentials to performance and to address the needs of the local and wider community. We also work with young people to develop their skills and abilities through enriching youth activities.

Nottingham Bach Choir educates the public in the art and science of music, in the presentation of concerts. A particular activity is the study and performance of the music of J S Bach and his contemporaries.The choir rehearses weekly during term time at St John's Church, Carrington and performs three or four times a year in mainly church venues in the city and county of Nottinghamshire.

THE PRE-SCHOOL CARE AND EDUCATION OF CHILDREN FROM 2 YEARS TO 5 YEARS OLD

We provide mid-month health and well-being activities, for example, walks to local venues like art galleries, museums, parks, and gardens, nature reserves, etc. At the end of the month, we provide a craft workshop & IT advice and guidance. During the week there are lunchtime meetings and arranged 1:1 sessions. We provide 2 online zoom workshops in the evenings and a WhatsApp closed group.

We provide first aid training and first aid event cover in Newark on Trent and surrounding areas mainly within 15 miles of the town centre. Our community training and community/charitable event cover is provided free of charge - donations appreciated. Workplace training and cover for commercial events is provided at inexpensive rates. These services are provided by our volunteers.

We are church/charity that runs a program of Sunday Services and mid-week activities. These are all-age Christian acts of worship.We also run a program of community events that focus and youth and children plus families from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Provision of almshouses accommodation and financial grant aid to Churches in the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham

120 services of public worship are held each year.12 groups for children and young people run regularly.10 groups for adults meet weekly for discussion, study and prayer. Fund raising events held to help local and national charities.Premises are made available for a wide range of local community groups.

The charity operates to fulfill its objects by providing facilities for playing croquet in Highfields Park, University Boulevard, Nottingham, NG7 2PS. In addition to encouraging social play, it teaches beginners and gives more advanced coaching, organises local competitions, enters teams in regional leagues and hosts national tournaments.

Gay & Peter Hartley's Hillards Trust makes grants to charities that support children's welfare, care for the elderly, mental/physical health, disability, & hospices. Grants are made up to £1,000 to local charities in towns in 11 counties in north and central England - mainly in Yorkshire, Lancashire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire. To enhance the development and education of children under the statutory school age by encouraging parents to understand and provide for the needs of their children.

Rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of horses and ponies. Rehoming also offered to small animals.

Provides buildings, facilities & space for community, for a wide range of groups, particularly economically and socially disadvantaged, of all ages.In the area of Huthwaite and surrounding county of Nottinghamshire.

Advice and guidance to persons who have disabilities.

The Charity seeks to advance the Christian religion by making facilities available to groups having similar aims and purposes to that of the charity. It also holds an 'Annual Camp' to further these aims.

Our activities are based around the education of the public in transport heritage generally, particularly in the Nottingham conurbation through preserving for posterity a collection of passenger service vehicles and associated artefacts. In August 2015 we leased a period bus garage in Hucknall to develop into a transport museum . We aim to engage all areas of the local community in our work.
