The Charity continues to carry out the original bequests of Samuel Brunts by providing finance for Brunts Educational Foundation and benefits for the elderly in the form of pensions, almshouses and other projects.

The Charity provides low cost accommodation and other financial support for 19 elderly, single or widowed men, aged over 50 years, who should be fit and well and able to look after themselves and reside within a 10 mile radius of Retford, Notts, and who need financial and spiritual support and wish to live as part of a christian community

To relieve, mitigate and prevent poverty suffering and distress. To relieve in cases of need hardship or distress young persons who are homeless or likely to become homeless, provide or assist directly or indirectly in the provision of temporary accommodation for homeless young persons in the town of Newark-on-Trent, in the County of Nottinghamshire.

Religious activities

Mansfield Methodist Circuit encourages the provision of regular acts of worship open to members of the church and non-members alike. We provide sacred spaces (buildings) for prayer and contemplation, the teaching of Christianity through sermons, courses and smaller groups.

Bassetlaw Action Centre is a community resource organisation and provides facilities & services designed to further educate people in the community, a community transport service, and a range of community projects and services which enable individuals to continue to live independently. The services are offered across Bassetlaw, Nottinghamshire and through partner organisations across England.

Al Hurraya is a peer-led culturally specific charity that provides bespoke personalised and culturally sensitive interventions to meet the needs of ethnically diverse communities in and around Nottingham and Derby who are experiencing a range of challenges
