Friends of Wilsthorpe works in partnership with Wilsthorpe Community School, Supporting the school as a whole and also individual students in activities, which are outside of the normal curriculum and not eligible for 'normal' school funding.

Raising money towards the provision of access to the yet to be constructed Newark Museum of the Civil War. Operating mainly in, but not confined to the Newark & Sherwood District of Nottinghamshire.

Giving motorcycling guidance at an advanced level towards individual associate members passing the Institute of Advanced Motorists, Motorcycle Examination to allow full membership. This promotes safer motorcycling in accordance with the aims of the IAM.

Scouting and Guiding activities for young people

To promote road safety primarily through offering guidance, via a team of trained and qualified observers, to enable individuals to achieve the standard of motorcycle riding to pass the advanced motorcycle test offered by the institute of advanced motorists.

HSF deliver life changing projects and programmes in conjunction with local communities, parish councils, sports clubs and education centres. HSF engage and inspire the local community with the aim of improving the quality of life and experiences across the community. HSF activities are aimed at increasing participation across sport, exercise, physical activity and education in tots to over 50?s.

Providing donations for various good causes both locally (i.e. Senior Citizens festive parties, schools and churches) nationally (financial support for hospices, hospitals, etc.) internationally ( Eye camps, water aid, disaster funds etc.) by fund raising activities from a Christmas Float collection, easter egg draw in local pubs, annual charity golf tournament and Teddy Bear draw in local pubs.
