Home-Start Oxford offers support, friendship, and practical help to families with a child under five, and particularly families who are vulnerable, isolated, under stress, often with complex needs, through home visiting by trained volunteers and other services.The charity's purpose is to help children by supporting parents to grow in confidence and give their children a good start in life.

The Trauma Recovery Centre (TRC) exists to facilitate the creative and purposeful recovery of children facing challenge and crisis. The charity provides therapy and counselling to children and their carers who are facing trauma and extreme challenges; and training in the recovery from trauma and abuse to charities and organisations working with children and adults.

The charity provides a house and grounds, St Katharine's Parmoor, which is primarily a retreat centre and open to all faiths and denominations. The house and grounds are also used by local old people and youth groups, disadvantaged children, and young people. the grounds are used for training, educating and equipping homeless and disadvantaged young people in horticulture.

TO PRESERVE, MAINTAIN AND IMPROVE THE (FARINGDON) COLLECTION AND ITS DISPLAY FOR PUBLIC EXHIBITION

The Parochial Church Council (PCC) has the responsibility of cooperating with the incumbent in promoting in the ecclesiastical parish, the whole mission of the Church, pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical. The PCC is also specifically responsible for the maintenance of the churches of St Barnabas, Jericho and St Thomas the Martyr, St Thomas Quarter, West Oxford.

The PCC advances religion in providing the resources to enable clergy, paid workers, volunteers and the build ing to live out its declared purpose to welcome,to engage all comers in an exploration of faith and to include all people in the way that Christ did in his ministry. The building is widely used for community purposes including fundraising events and concerts.

The advancement of the Jewish Religion by the maintenance of religious services and hebrew and religion classes, other activities to promote the welfare of the Jews of Oxford and its surroundings, and other charitable purposes not inconsistent with these objects.

Religious activities

To publish and disseminate a journal of hydrological sciences and also a series of hydrological conference proceedings and books to advance the knowledge of hydrology internationally. Many of these publications are distributed free of charge to universities and research establishments in developing countries.

The principal activity is to provide facilities and support for young people and vulnerable adults to play football and other sports and to develop sport generally. Our policy is sport for all - to cover all ranges of skills and abilities.

Provide facilities for daycare, recreation and education of children

Aims to relieve distress caused by loneliness and social isolation. Offers social gatherings and one-to-one support service to those experiencing loneliness. Aims to prevent mental health deterioration affected by social isolation.

Promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Northway and the neighbourhood together, interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

Community centre for providing social welfare, day care for the elderly and disabled and a meeting place serving meals etc for the inhabitants of Chinnor and surrounding parishes. Also provides meeting rooms for local businesses and social groups.
