The principal object of the charity is to provide support for other charities which the Trustees feel are worthy of their support. Currently, these include educational charities, community and health projects and medical research.

Provision of a Meeting Hall for religous services

Turing House Friends supports the work of Turing House School by bringing the wider school community together through engaging, entertaining, informing and fund-raising.

Restoration, maintenance and improvement of the buildings and spire of St Matthias Church (Richmond, Surrey) and Community Centre

To raise funds for the repair and maintenance of St Anne's Church, Kew, we have organised concerts, lectures and other events. We have contributed money for the repair of the flood-prone forecourt, and to restore the church's dilapidated South Porch. We have paid for new floodlighting to enhance the appearance of the church and its security and to restore several important tombs.

Grants for the benefit of young persons resident in the area of Hampton and Hampton Hill who are under 21 years of age and who need financial assistance towards payment of fees, travelling or maintenance expenses or by such other means while undertaking an apprenticeship or attending college/university.

TAO runs a drop-in service 3 full days each week for people with long-term mental health difficulties - this provides space to socialise, quality meals at cost price, art group, drama group, therapy, massage, board games and other activities as and when volunteers are available to run a group. All activities are free.In addition we provide occasional subsidised meals (eg: Christmas) and outings.
