Operation of a synagogue with related charitable and religious activities

We provide physical activity, exercise and training activities to young people up to the age of 25. They receive access to a professional gymnasium and a Personal trainer (PT) who will undertake an assessment and devise a training programme over 3 months. They also receive nutrition and healthy living advice and mentoring for careers in exercise. Operating in Rochdale, Oldham and GM.

To promote the efficiency of the Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces by maintaining contact between past and present members. To relieve either generally or individually persons who are serving or who have served in the Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces or the dependents of such persons who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress.

We deliver free English and computer classes to people who cannot access statutory education. We support people to be part of their community, reduce isolation, increase participation through various enjoyable activities and encourage socializing. We support people with form filling, life skills, housing issues, interpretation services and advocacy as well as signposting them to the right services

Through our Bless Manchester food project we support families or individuals who are financially in need in the regions of North Manchester and Salford. We aim to look at the whole picture for those we support linking this service to our helpline. The Lighthouse support helpline is available to anyone struggling and feeling isolated or overwhelmed to call in for a chat.

The relief of financial hardship amongst people in the Irlam and Cadishead, Salford and the surrounding area in such ways as the trustees from time-to-time think fit, in particular, but not exclusively by providing emergency food, essential toiletries, and household items to individuals and families in need and/or for distribution by charities or other organisation working to relieve poverty.

To advance young people in life, by providing funding, resources and support to charities located in the north west of England for specific purposes which the trustees in their absolute discretion determine, so as to develop their capabilities so that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society.

The charity will provide mentoring, advice and assistance, support groups, leisure/recreational activities toenable teenagers and young people who are struggling to develop their skills and participate in society asindependent, mature, responsible and contributing individuals.

NEV is currently working to assist African migrants to make the transition to life in the United Kingdom by providing courses in the Manchester area.
