The Brilliant Club exists to increase the number of pupils from under-represented backgrounds progressing to highly selective universities. We do this by mobilising the PhD community to share its academic expertise with state schools.

The Renal Association is a professional body for nephrologists (renal physicians, or kidney doctors) and renal scientists in the UK. It is active in the planning and development of renal services and nephrology in Britain. It is also involved in the promotion and dissemination of research and education relating to the speciality.

We promote SNU Spiritualism, administer a College, run educational courses, conduct examinations, award Certificates, Diplomas, etc., appoint Ministers and Officiants, promote spiritual healing, put on publicity events and conferences, publish literature, enrol Churches and individuals in membership, provide information, advice and support, act as Trustee for Churches, and promote missionary work.

Young Enterprise empowers young people to harness their personal and business skills. We make the connection between school and the world of work, enabling young people to develop the knowledge and attitudes they need to succeed. More than 214,000 young people from across England and Wales have participated in a Young Enterprise learning experience this year supported by around 6,000 volunteers.

The charity operates as a co-ordination and support network for organisations that provide social welfare law advice to the public.

The PAPYRUS helpline, HOPELINE247 (0800 068 41 41), provides information and practical advice to any young person who is feeling suicidal and to anyone who is worried that a young person they know may be suicidal. PAPYRUS also produces suicide prevention information and resources. PAPYRUS offers a number of community-based and online education programme focusing on young suicide prevention.

Home-Start offers informal and friendly support to families with young children, providing a lifeline to thousands of parents and children in around 300 communities across the UK, and with forces families in Germany and Cyprus.Support is free, confidential and non-judgemental, and the quality of this is maintained with local schemes working to national standards.

WDC's work combines concern for the welfare of individual whales, dolphins and porpoises with efforts to ensure the protection of the species, populations and their habitats. We conduct research, provide advice to decision makers about how to protect the animals and fund conservation and education projects around the world, working for solutions which benefit people and animals.

THE MAIN EXCEPTION IS THAT THOSE NOMINATED BY TRANSPORT FOR LONDON MAY BE HELPED FROM A SEPARATE TFL STAFF WELFARE FUND.

LFF provides a unique set of services which enhance community protection against child sexual abuse. Our preventative work includes awareness raising and education. Our specialist staff assess risk, advise on case management and provide evidence based intervention programmes. LFF is the only UK-wide child protection charity dedicated solely to reducing the risk of children being sexually abused.
