Relief of need

Bridgnorth District Community First Responders operates in the area of Bridgnorth and its surrounding environs, to work in partnership with West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust by responding to emergency calls for medical assistance. The volunteer first responders aim to provide emergency life sustaining treatment in the area, prior to the arrival of an Ambulance.

SUPPORT OF CHIRBURY SCHOOLRELIEF OF POVERTY

The trust undertook three principal activities in support of its objectives during 2009/10. These being:1) Completion of four technical studies in respect of the feasibility of the prospective Ironbridge Railway;2) Presentation of the case for and feasibility of the Ironbridge Railway;3) Liaison with the National Railway industry.

Affiliated organisation of Churches Together in England and Wales.Active ecumenically within Shrewsbury and seeks to provide a forum for the views and activites of its constituent churches within the town of Shrewsbury.

Provision of bursaries to cover 50%( or more in exceptional circumstances) of the cost of individual children's music lessons, musical instrument hire or costs of other musical activities. Bursaries are awarded to children in academic years 3-6 inclusive who would be unable to access musical opportunities without financial assistance.

PRESERVATION AND INTERPRETATION OF THE MINING INDUSTRY OF NORTH WALES

Civic Society - to protect and preserve the character of Bishop's Castle and its buildings, local places and rural areas from unsuitable developments; encourage good design and improve the amenities of the town.

Investment of monies generated from the sale of Chapel Lands - half to church charity and remainder to Relief in Need

Provision of facilities to the local population

Members undertake research and write papers which are shared with others. Exploratory walks and talks are conducted along with working parties to clear and repair sites where possible. Promote the canal to local people and interested parties via the means above.

To give disabled people (wheelchair users, visually impaired etc.) chance to get out and enjoy the countryside. To offer multi-media dance, recreation and wildlife projects.

Maintenance and upkeep of the church and churchyard of St. Batholomew, Benthall in the county of Shropshire, and of any other church in the Anglican communion.
