BCS's work as a charity mainly concentrates in Birmingham,we intend to improve the life chances and the aspirations of the disadvantaged children through supporting their families into employment.People from South Asia and the Africa are concentrated in these areas and research has shown that the level of academic achievement is very poor.Our goal is to improve their overall quaility of life.

We endeavour to develop the knowledge, understanding and practise of theatre within the Midlands, together with the provision of information, training and advocacy. Our objects and pricipal activity is to promote amateur theatre within the Midlands, particularly involving young people.

The Seals-Solihull Swimming Club for the Disabled- exists to provide an opportunity for physically disabled members and those with learning disabilities in the Solihull area to enjoy a swim every Monday evening(except Bank Holidays) during a private session at the local pool. Social activities are also included in the Club's calendar of events.

Christmas Services, Mother's Day Service & Father's Day Service cancelled in 2020 & 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

To ring the bells at St Mary and St Bartholomew Church, Hampton in Arden for Sunday Services, Weddings and ad hoc requests.

Making grants for the benefit of disabled or sick persons within Henley in Arden and its surrounding area, by such means as the Trustees think fit.

To promote the better health and wellbeing of older people through encouraging inter-disciplinary training, research and excellence in practice and service provision.

Educational Foundation. Subject to payment of the expenses aforesaid the trustees shall apply the income of the Educational Foundation in advancing the education (including social and physical training) of persons under the age of 25 years who are resident or who have a parent or parents resident in the area of benefit and who in the opinion of the Trustees are in need of financial assistance.

Provide information and advise for people with kidney problems. Hold open meetings for patients to have the opportunity to ask a doctor questions away from a hospital environment. Help and support kidney dialysis units.

Raise money to help supplement the education and well being of children and young adults with severe learning problems and/or mobility problems, and to support their parents and carers, not included in Local Education funding.

PROVISION OF GRANTS TO SUPPORT EARLY YEARS NURSERY FOR CHILDREN AGED 2 - 5 WITH SPECIAL NEEDS AND/ OR DISABILITIES

The charity provides support for cancer patients and their families and organises meetings and talks (by surgeons, oncologists and Cancer related services) every 2nd Thursday of the month at Marie Curie Hospice Solihull, B91 2PQ. Counsellor's are available on hand if needed. Telephone support and up to date information is also offered.
