Avalon Camps is a local charity based in Somerset, which gives disadvantaged children from Bristol, between the ages of 8 and 9, an opportunity to have a holiday in the countryside.

The object of the charity is to contribute towards the cost of projects for the preservation and maintenance of Holy Trinity church, Long Sutton, Somerset. The main activities are the raising of funds from membership subscriptions, donations and events in order to make grants to the Parochial Church Council (PCC) for projects covered by the object.

We organize events around South Somerset such as fetes, dog shows, 10k runs, etc. to raise funds so we can make donations to or pay for activities to the types of group or individuals listed. Our events also enable other groups to raise funds. We also offer manpower to help community activities e.g., car parking, marshalling events, etc.

Learning techniques of weaving, spinning and dying in a dedicated facility. Sharing related knowledge through mentoring and discussion. Mounting exhibitions, sales and open events to serve the local area. Working cooperatively with other local organisations, including schools, to advance knowledge and understanding of these crafts and their place in local heritage.

The village hall provides suitable premises for many activities in the community of Stratton-on-the-Fosse. This includes sports, health, educational activities as well as meetings, fundraising and leisure activities.

Lyng Village Hall is situated in the village of East Lyng, The trustees organise and run events that serve the wider local community, in the villages surrounding Lyng open to anyone wishing to attend, including Outwood & Durston . The location of the hall means that we can also serve other outlying villages, who no longer have a village hall, It is also available for private hire and use.

Raising funds to purchase equipment and goods that the school budget does not support.

The object of the CIO (Dovecote School Family Support Committee (DFSC)) is to advance the education of the pupils in the school, in particular by:1. Developing effective relationships between staff, parents and others associated with the school.2. To manage and run Queen Camel Memorial Hall for the good of residents of Queen Camel in general and for the use of youth groups and the elderly in particular.

Taunton Canoe Club provides canoeing and kayaking watersport activity for people in Taunton and surrounding area.

Maintain and enhance the pavilion and playing field of the Parish of North Curry for the benefit of the inhabitants

The Trustees endeavour to manage Hadspen Village hall as a community centre for social, educational and recreational activity for all the residents of Pitcombe, Hadspen and Cole and the surrounding area.
