The society publishes a quarterly journal, holds meetings and talks open to all, operates a website, maintains a research room which offers assistance to members and non-members, and organises and supports Fairs and outreach events.

Bristol Area Cardiac Support formally Frenchay Hospital Cardiac Support Group was set up to give support to Members who had suffered Cardiac Trauma and had been cared for in Ward 103 in Frenchay Hospital, near Bristol. with the closing of Frenchay Hospital We now raise funds to purchase mediacl equipment when requested by Cardiac Medical Units in the Bristol area.

Ride Bristol is a registered charity run by a team of local mountain bikers. We aim to channel the collective weight of the local off road biking community to promote their interests across the Bristol and surrounding areas. Protect existing and pursue the opening of new rights of way for off road cyclists

Our objective is advancing the education of the public in the history of the village of Frenchay. To this end we carry out historical research, then publish the results on our web site, publish books and give talks. We also run Frenchay Village Museum.

Provision of a series of concerts and recitals of classical and modern musical works (usually max. 6) in each season, October - June, at local Church premises in the Henleaze district of Bristol, including giving particular prominence to gifted local young musicians, and presenting pre-concert talks by eminent musicians and academics on the contents of each concert's programme.

The Centre provides a seven day a week free, confidential, impartial and factually correct support service for women and their partners facing unintended pregnancy, baby loss and post abortion; whatever their age, beliefs, background or circumstances.

The aim of our Centre in Bristol is to provide creative and stimulating activities, care and support to adults (Members) with various additional needs including physical, sensory or learning disability. We offer opportunities to learn new skills to gain greater knowledge and independence. Some seek to learn more about the Christian faith. Our hope is that all have more fulfilling lives.

Financial grants to charities that meet the Trust's criteria and are active in the south west of England

The promotion of improved driving standards coupled with an increased awareness of road safety. The Group conducts courses for drivers wishing to improve their driving in preparation of the Advanced Tests by the IAM RoadSmart. These courses consist of classroom sessions, together with practical on-road driving guidance given by the Group's voluntary Observers.

Panache Steel Band is based in Thornbury, South Gloucestershire. Panache started in 1994 at The Castle School, Thornbury, and has since become community based. As well as the main performing band, who performs both publically and privately, we run a variety of community-based steel band groups for different ages, as well as one-off workshops at local schools and other organisations.

The objectives of the Friends of Christ Church Hanham are to advance the education of all the pupils of the school; to engage in activities that support the school; to provide facilities or items for use at the school and; to develop the relationship between staff, pupils and parents.

Thornbury Volunteer Centre serves Thornbury and the surrounding area of southern Gloucestershire. Its aim is to promote, encourage and support volunteering. It operates a brokerage service between volunteer-involving organisations and individuals wishing to volunteer. It provides assistance and training for volunteers and volunteer-involving organisations.
