The activities of the charity are to ensure the continued operation of the Carnegie Library and all its associated clubs and activities within the library building, in particular to obtain an asset transfer of the library building from Lambeth Borough Council.

The South London Resource Centre for Visually Impaired People works in collaboration with the Eye Department at St Thomas' Hospital, London, to provide the optometric Low Vision service for Guys and St Thomas' NHS Trust.

For the public benefit to provide a charitable support and advice service for parents, guardians and other carers who have responsibilty for young persons who are behaving in a criminal and / or socially unacceptable manner, so that such young persons can grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society.

The principal object of the Charity is the promotion and advancement of the education provided by The Diocesan College, a school in Cape Town, South Africa. It does this by obtaining donations, primarily from donors in the United Kingdom, and transferring them to The Diocesan College.
