1.To advance the education of the public in general (and particularly amongst Buddhist monks and scholars) on the subjects of Buddhism in particular Theravada Buddhism, and the culture , languages, literature and history of ancient south Asia.2. To advance the Theravadic Buddhist religion in the UK for the benefit of the public through the theravadic rituals, worship and meditation sessions.

As Humanitarian organization aims to remove poverty through enhancement of education in order to achieve this goal, we provide vocational training courses for unemployment youths in extremely poor families. As part of this program a group of youths has been trained in Sri Lanka. In addition we have completed A Flood Relief project in Sri Lanka.

We are planning to do more for re-settling our very people by providing clean water , sanitation and other urgent requirement. Meanwhile arrange gatherings and other activities to unite our people in UK.

Our Charity was established for the specific purpose of making grants to Apeksha Hospital, Sri Lanka which is the main Hospital for treatment of Cancer in Sri Lanka. When Apeksha Hospital has a need for Medical and other Equipment which they feel that we would be in a position to fund they forward us a request for such funding providing all details of such Equipment.

CHEC's aim is to further the importance of a holisitc and sustainable view of the world and the continuing empasis on development through the implementation of human ecology. Provision on a worldwide basis of humanitarian relief and aid in the form of equipment and materials that provide shelter, warmth and comfort to people displaced by natural or other disaster.

To give small grants to a broad range of Quaker & other UK registered charities or Non-Governmental organisations.
