The object of the Fund is to relieve poverty amongst persons of European birth who are or have been members of the planting community of Sri Lanka and their dependant relatives in need, restricted to the wives, widows and dependant children of such persons.

The charity gives grants to promote the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment for the benefit of endangered or threatened species.

As part of the change in a legal status to a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) the charity is handing over all operations, funds, assets, liabilities to Dogstar Foundation registered Charity number 1188754, registered since 2020, from 1st January 2022.

The Sahana Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the lives of patients with end-stage diseases in Sri Lanka. We aim to raise public awareness about palliative care, establish hospices in collaboration with local NGOs, and provide essential care to those in need. As a community-focused, non-profit organization, we are committed to making compassionate and accessible palliative care a reality.

The advancement of education of students at Jaffna Central College, Sri Lanka through the provision of bursaries, from year 6 up to A/L examination.The advancement of education of extra classes and assistance required for them to achieve higher grades in their year 5 scholarship examination by way of providing the necessary funds to conduct such extra assistance measures.

Make a Medic is a UK-based charity that aims to support the medical education of medical students in developing countries. We raise funds through ticket sales & sponsorship for academic events; social events; and online medical resources. Our projects range from filling libraries, funding training programmes and sponsoring stethoscopes.

We perceive our vision as relieving poverty and implementing sustainable development for people affected by the civil war in Sri Lanka. Deprived parts of this community in Sri Lanka and the UK will be supported by financing home farming or cottage industry projects, education, sports and training facilities, safe water supplies and promotion of sustainable environments (waste recycling).

The primary aim of the Friends of Sri Lanka, United Kingdom is to provide assistance to support the development of communities through education and health provision in Sri Lanka.

We continue to support our village children's education by paying their private tuition fees for the last 8 years and also running an English class for students. We funded house renovation expenses of 70,000 Rupees to a single mother of two, which was in very bad condition. The foundation funded to buy 3 sheep in total for 3 different families and also provided medical assistance to a child.

My Body is My Body Programme is an internationally acclaimed body safety program using music to educate and empower adults and children on child abuse prevention. Distributed in 60 plus countries worldwide, it offers a free resource for communities, parents, teachers, and carers. Our mission is to stop child abuse through positive, non threatening education.
