Community Centre (Village Hall) - All kinds of Social Activities - Community Club, Occasional Dances, Social Evenings, Parties, Saturday brunches, Community Lunches. Polling station, Parish Council meetings and occasional use for professional training.

The charity administers the village hall. Runs fund raising events. Advertises the property and its amenities. Runs a web-site to aquaint people with the hall.

To administer the upkeep and safe running of the village hall and comply with all health & safety, and government rules & regulations.

As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more. Each week, the 1st Eye Scout Group gives young people of Eye and the surrounding area the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure whilst developing the skills they need to succeed.

Hiring out of village hall & grounds

CURRENTLY 3 CONCERTS EACH YEAR OF CHORAL WORKS ARE PRESENTED. AT LEAST ONE OF THESE IS ACCOMPANIED BY FULL ORCHESTRA AND SOLOISTS AS NECESSARY.ALSO A CHRISTMAS CONCERT.MEMBERS MEET WEEKLY BETWEEN SEPTEMBER AND MID MAY TO PREPARE FOR THESE OCCASIONS EXCEPT DURING SCHOOL. HOLIDAYS..

The Southwold Sailors' Reading Room was built in 1864 as a refuge for fishermen and mariners when not engaged at sea. Displays of a seafaring nature line the walls and fill glass cabinets. Pictures and portraits of local fishermen and seascapes, model ships and maritime paraphernalia offer a fascinating history of Southwold's connections with the sea.

Our charity's purpose is to enhance the school experience for all pupils at Creeting St Mary CEVAP School. We aim to do this by organising events and activities for the children as well as purchasing equipment not covered within the school budget.

Fund raising by holding events such as fairs, discos and sponsored activities. Social events for families to meet.

The provision of water based activities, and training, principally sailing, for young people aged between 8 and 16 who would not normally have such opportunities, through dinghy and kayak training by qualified instructors on the River Stour and the provision of boating activities through partners including those offering experiences on long boats,traditional fishing smacks, barges and yachts.

Use of hall facilities (including bar) by local sports clubs and other community groups and charities.

The NSDA facilitates Sport and recreation in Newmarket and the surrounding area. We also organise day time activities for a variety of community groups, at a subsidised rate, making the facilities affordable for all. Our facilities are also made available to local primary schools for use during the school day but also for after school clubs.

To promote the Christian faith and to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world by reaching out to those in need through evangelism and outreach. To assist those in conditions of need, hardship and distress by providing practical help, financial help, bible teaching and fellowship.

We have supported many community projects for all age groups. We raise funds by holding Beer Festivals, Santa Sleighs and BBQ's

Woolpit Institute hires out meeting rooms and kitchen facilities for community groups such as the Parish Council, special interest clubs, after-school activities, table tennis and classes. A luncheon club provides meals for the elderly. Fund raising events such as coffee mornings are held. The rooms may be hired for private functions. The local museum is housed within the institute building.

The charity runs a day centre for disabled people open two days each week throughout the year. Various activities are organised, including a programme of outings during the summer months. The charity owns a mini-bus and provides transport for members. The day centre building and minibus have also been used by other groups of disabled people such as the Stroke Club, St Raphaels etc.

We help young people explore the Christian Faith and offer support to young people as we are able. We do this through youth clubs, mentoring, chaplaincy, wellbeing groups, assisting schools and out of school activities. We are supported in this by Youth for Christ National.
