FOR THE USE OF THE INHABITANTS, INCLUDING USE FOR (I) MEETINGS, LECTURES AND CLASSES, AND (II) OTHER FORMS OF RECREATION AND LEISURE-TIME

The Village Hall re-opened on the 7th October 2011 after the completion of a major refurbishment programme which has brought the hall up to 21st Century standards with a number of sustainable initiatives.

Maintaining, operating and making available to the public, Otley Village Hall and adjoining playing field.

Provides focal point for social, educational, sporting and recreational activities for the village of Wickhambrook and a further nine villages within a five mile radius.

The aim of the orchestra is the rehearsal and performance of all types of orchestral music in and around Sudbury by mainly local amateur musicians to the highest possible standard for each of our members. Our ages range from students to seniors and we welcome new members where we have vacancies.

The Village Hall provides a community hub where local residents of all ages and others meet to enjoy a range of inclusive activities. The post office runs 3 sessions a week and newspapers are sold from 8-9am Monday to Saturday. The hall is also used for Parish Council Meetings, wedding receptions, parties, funeral wakes and some commercial lettings. It is the emergency centre for the village.

Provides teaching and training to Beavers; Cubs and Scouts in everyday skills; canoeing; camping; hikeing, and many other outdoor activities.

Management of Village Hall for benefit of residents

Promoting the permanent preservation for the benefit of the public generally and especially the inhabitants of the County of Suffolk of nature reserves of beauty, historic and ecological interest and scientific importance, in particularly, the natural flora of the County of Suffolk.

Providing Entertainment by performing brass band music at its very best at a variety of events throughout the year.

The Society was founded in 1925 and became a charity subsequently. Its main objective is to promote Chamber Music Concerts for the educational and artistic benefit of the Community and Members of the Society

Environment, Heritage, Education and Training

The Charities object is to provide and maintain an open space for the benefit of the inhabitants, i.e. those living or employed in the locality, to be used forever for the benefit of the community, as a place of informal recreation, play or other leisure pastimes, and a meeting place for community events, celebrations and convivial relaxation

The relief of financial hardship amongst people living or working in Brockley by providing such persons with goods, services or amenities which they could not otherwise afford through lack of means.

The restoration, preservation, and maintenance, for the public benefit the historic vessels known as M.T. Kent and M.T. Fearnought and/or such other vessels as may come into the custody or ownership of the C.I.O. This is achieved via the efforts of volunteer deck and engine room staff. Based in No 1 Basin Chatham Maritime. We visit as many maritime events in the east and south east as possible.

Support for families of pre-school children with additional needs. 3 sessioins a week held at the Salvation Army Hall, 558 Woodbridge Road, Ipswich. Appropriate play activities for pre-school children with a wide range of additional needs. Support for parents/carers.

Scouting Activities for Young People

The Monks Eleigh Village Hall is a community hall with the primary objective of serving the villagers of Monks Eleigh with a venue for clubs and associations, social functions, exercise and sport activities and local business and public sector meetings. People outside the village are also able to hire the venue for similar activities.

Art classes, yoga, chiropody, pre-natal classes, bridge evenings, social functions, bbq's, supper parties, fetes, teas, toddler group weekly, womans institute, meetings for parish council & parochial church council. Available for weddings, childrens parties and anniversary parties, also funeral wakes
