GNE supports children ,young people, families and carers affected by disability or a barrier to learning by providing leisure activities, holiday schemes, training and work experience. Sunday: Morning services 9.30am to 11am and 11.30am to 1pm.Mid-week services: Prayer Meeting, Connect Groups and Discipleship Hubs each monthly.Wednesday: Toddler Group 10am to 11.30am.Foodbank: Wednesday 1pm to 3pm and Friday 10am to 12 noon.

We provide facilities and services for the recreation or other leisure-time occupation of the general public,in particular, but not exclusively, for people who are refugees and seeking asylum, in the north of England, with the object of improving their conditions of life and general well-being, primarily through the provision of horticultural and nature based activities.

DADLG provides a wide range of sports, social and leisure opportunities for children and young people with disabilities and their families. We aim to enable families to engage in events and activities as a family with siblings, parents and carers, being supported to take part in new and adventurous activities as well as familiar activities.

Acumen Community Buildings provides office accommodation, co-working space and support for social enterprises, community businesses, community groups and individuals who are creating social impact in the local community. It is runs a grade II* listed building, The Old Rectory, as a hub for place based social action in Houghton-le-Spring and the surrounding coalfields area of Sunderland.

The conduct of public worship and mission in the local community through a full range of services and activities based in our wide range of buildings and other locations within the locality.

To proudly promote Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender culture through public celebration of our heritage and engaging in education and cultural activities that enrich the community, whilst raising awareness of the issues people face regarding sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression and sex characteristics whilst building mutual respect and working to end discrimination

As a charity provide the following services-1. Educational support services- we run free after school session to improve the children from BAME background. 2. Mental health workshop- we run various mental health workshop to increase the awareness of mental health issues and discuss on this topic.3. Family Fun Day in Bank Holidays4. Activities to keep the Park and street cleaning etc.

Animal welfare support in Sunderland, Hartlepool and South Tyneside (including some areas in County Durham and Gateshead). We provide welfare assistance (signposting and advice), assisted neutering scheme, pet food bank, education and funded vet clinics (criteria apply to all services). This branch does not currently have animal shelter facilities or accept animals from the public.

The aim of SAPS is to encourage and support local people and organisations who have an interest in the future of problematic substance use and their families. By advocating for partnership working SAPS will share ideas, information and skills to the benefit of clients whilst striving to remove barriers that prevent access to social and health service provision.

Hope Vineyard Sunderland promotes the Christian faith and carry's out activities and events as an expression which are mainly funded via members donations.

New Horizon provides a range of support services to the African Community in Sunderland, including- Housing Support- Immigration Advice- Benefits Advice and Claims- Support Refugee & Asylum Seeker

Oxclose Church (AKA Hope Family Church) is the local parish church for Oxclose, Washington, Tyne and Wear. We serve the people of our community through the operations of a local church, through caring for the spiritual, emotional, and practical wellbeing of all in our community.

The charity provides community centre facilites to the local community and beyond. Room space is hired out to various organisations. Amongst other things it is used as a polling station, councillor meetings, resident groups, blood donor site. It was also used as a base for victims who were caught up in local flooding within the area last year. It depends on an annual Local Government grant.

CHANCE is a community based organisation, based in the heart of an identified high area of deprivation, offering activities to increase confidence, and self-esteem, via a programme of events and courses. Providing fun activities, which have an impact on social isolation, anti-social behaviour, criminal activities and enhance community cohesion. Our centre provides support and a training centre.

THROUGH GRANTS TO OUR STRATEGIC PARTNERS AND OTHER SUPPORT, WE PROMOTE POLICY CHANGE BY FUNDING PROJECTS THAT INFORM DISCUSSION AND INFLUENCE PUBLIC POLICY. OUR AIM IS TO EMPOWER COMMUNITIES AND REDUCE SOCIAL DEPRIVATION.
