THE PRINCIPAL OBJECT OF THE CHARITY IS THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STATEMENTS OF FAITH AND PRACTICE OF THE INDEPENDENT METHODIST CONNEXION. THE CHARITY MAY ALSO CARRY OUT OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND/OR OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD

Provide facilities that can be used bygroups in the local community. The main halls are available for groups for a wide range of activities which currently include a toddler group and a choir. New groups are being introduced for arts and crafts that are available to both young and old. All users of the centre are encourage to offer a range of activities within the community to provide friendship.

The trust holds permanent endowment funds which its Trustee is unable to hold as it is a limited company. Like its Trustee it is a generalist grant maker, primarily for the benefit of communities in Tyne & Wear and Northumberland

The organisation provides services throughout the year for the benefit of the LGBTQ community in the region, as well as providing regional events, and training to progress equality and diversity within the region.

We provide football coaching and matches for Young people aged 3 years old up to 17 years old in the Farringdon area of Sunderland 5 days a week all by qualified coaches upto at least level 1 football coach.Our Group also focus on improving Healthy living and Obesity also to help young people cope with Mental health issues and if Needed to point them in right direction for professional help .

Hetton Buddies provides weekly recreational activity sessions for children and young people with learning difficulties and disabilities and their parents, carers and families.

The advancement of education and training in Northumberland, Tyne, Wear and County Durham bringing together learning providers to promote and provide collaboration in support of vocational, work-based & work-related learning provision in the area of benefit; the sharing of good practice; and the working with key partners & stakeholders to promote and improve this provision.

General charitable purposes

We present, each year, a series of chamber music concerts given by artists of international reputation.

To supply personal and home hygiene packs to those suffering hygiene poverty.

We are bringing Christians, Churches and communities together by building an active network that encourages conversation to bring about transformation of the City of Sunderland, Washington and the Coalfields.

To promote the relief of sickness, disability and poverty for young persons under the age of 18 with a view to improving the quality of life for such persons. The Trust will primarily focus it's activities in South Wales, Newcastle-upon-Tyne & the North East, the Algarve region in Portugal or other locations as deemed appropriate by the Trustees.

The Group was established in 1941 by the adoption of the Scouting Associations POR, by the founding group members who acted as trustees. The groups aim in common with that of the S.A. is the physical, mental and spiritual development of young people.

Organising raffles, fetes, discos etc for our Primary School and inviting staff from school to suggest ways to spend the profits. All money raised being used to support East Herrington Primary School.

The object of the society is to educate the public in the dramatic and operatic arts to further development of the public appreciation and taste in the said arts (to assist and further such charitable institutions and charitable purposes as the committee shall from time to time determine).

To promote and complete the Victoria County History of Durham and to assist and support the editor/team leader and the assistant editor/ team researcher to this end; to raise public awareness of local and regional history; to complete a history of Teesdale now in progress and to secure backing and finance for new areas of study in the future.

Public courses and other events in meditation and Buddhism, guiding and supporting those who wish to follow the Buddhist religion.

The support of work in ceramics in the fine art department of Newcastle University.

To support the development of sport in the North East England through the award of grants to clubs and indivuals with particular emphasis on club coach training and development.

The North East Trust for Aphasia supports people in the North East who have aphasia. Aphasia is a communication problem, often following stroke, which can affect an adult's ability to speak, read, write and understand other people. It can have devastating effects on peoples' lifes. NETA has set up a Support Centre for people with aphasia which offers support via communication and project groups.

Fulwell Community Association operates Fulwell Community Centre in Chapman Street, Fulwell. We offer a warm and inviting space to hire. Rooms can be booked out to facilitate recreation and leisure interests of social welfare, for the benefit of the community. Available to hire: hall and stage area with overhead projector, wellbeing room and kitchen. Toilets and baby changing. Capacity 90.

Crossings Community Group provides opportunities for migrants, refugees and asylum seekers to integrate into the communities in which they live. We use music, song writing and team activities to build relationships within the group and with the wider community of the Newcastle and Gateshead area. We aim to improve relationships and understanding through shared positive experiences.

DONWELL HALL PROVIDES FACILITIES FOR ALL AGES FROM TODDLERS TO THE ELDERLY. IT HOLDS A NUMBER OF CLUBS, RECREATIONAL CLASSES AND SOCIAL EVENINGS.
