Charities In Surrey

The primary objects of the charity are to provide services to help and support people in the local community by providing suitable community centred activities in the Soper Halls. The halls are actively managed to hold various markets, seasonal events and community activities. The charity seeks all available funding in pursuit of its objectives of redeveloping the Halls.

Supports Scout Groups and Explorer Scout Units and promotes Scouting in Woking, providing activities, meetings and a camp site to help young people aged 6 to 25 to achieve their full potential and become responsible citizens.

After School Club at Reigate Priory Junior School

C-Change West London (CCWL) provides skills-based training, an enriching volunteering and social action programme and activities to improve and increase personal and community wellbeing. CCWL work covers the socially and economically deprived areas within the London Boroughs of Hounslow, Ealing, Hillingdon and Spelthorne (Surrey).

Advance the Christian faith

Encouraging and facilitating the spiritual life of the community.

Runs small social gatherings based around Feltonfleet School in Weybridge, Surrey to raise funds for local charities.

DRAMA, DANCE, FITNESS, TAEKWONDO, BADMINTON, SEQUENCE DANCING, WHIST DRIVE, PLAYGROUP, MUSICAL THEATRE, PILATES, YOGA

Providing help and advice for cats and kittens in Surrey and surrounding areas.

The charity exists to provide a village hall and other facilities for the use of the inhabitants of Shalford and the neighbourhood for meetings, educational purposes and other forms of leisure time occupation, including sports, arts, culture and community development.

1st Godstone Scout Group offers scouting activities for boys and girls from age 6 upwards in the village of Godstone, Surrey

Church Activities

Positive Network is an Intergenerational project, we run clubs for Young People Lunch Clubs and Social Clubs for the Elderly and parenting groups.

The charity operates for the welfare of St. Nicolas Church.

Advance the education of students of the former Strode's Sixth Form College and young persons resident in the area of the former Urban District of Egham

We enable persons in the Guildford and surrounding area and elsewhere who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those who may be at risk of suicide, to receive confidential emotional support at any time of the day or night in order to improve their emotional health and to reduce the incidence of suicide.

Guildford Area U3a organises in excess of 100 groups for persons retired or semi-retired. For an annual donation members are able to attend groups in Art,Crafts,Discussion,Drama,Games,Health Fitness & Leisure,History Languages, Literature, Music, Research and the Sciences.

The presentation of orchestral concerts, workshops and other educational/outreach projects to help to bring music into the lives of the general public.

Religious activities

East Grinstead and District Lions Club (CIO) operates in the East Grinstead and surrounding areas in Sussex, Surrey and Kent, raising funds though activities by organising local events such as our May fair, Donkey Derby, Swim Night and selling secondhand books at the local Railway stations. These funds are then used to mainly provide grants for the benefit of those in need in the local community.

Grayshott Concerts promotes top-quality classical music concerts with internationally recognised performers in an intimate, acoustically-perfect village setting on the Hampshire/Surrey borders. GC also helps to nurture exceptionally talented young musicians in the early stages of their professional career with grants and performance opportunities.
