Charities In Surrey

The charity continues to operate under the supplementary Trust Deed (23.10.2013) . We continue to support the main aims of the Trust which are to assist the poor & needy and other good causes agreed by the Rotary Club. During the second half of 2022 and into 2023 Shepperton Aurora will continue to support to local charities, organisations and schools within the local community.

The Charity raises money for Boxgrove Primary School to enable them to purchase equipment and educational resources to advance the education of the pupils in the school.

Provision of day respite care for the infirm

Caring for Joshua Hayday presented many challenges. Through the projects that we, JHHHT, support and the initiatives we work on, we hope to help families facing similar challenges. A mentoring charity for 11-17 year olds based in Surrey.

Amateur musical theatre group providing affordable productions to the locality, and a weekly rehearsal / social meeting for those interested in singing and acting.

The Westcott Reading Room provides facilities for a wide range of leisure and recreational activities and social events which are well promoted and easily accessible to all members of the local community through the ownership, maintenance, development and operation of our building to provide a community space which is available for hire to all.

Provision of facilities for the local community to use for educational, recreational and social purposes.

The charity distributes small sums of money to cases of individual hardship or need - BUT only to cases known to the trustees or through organisations known to the trustees. Unsolicited requests will not be supported or responded to. All grants are dealt with by written communication with any trustee.The charity also owns a small parcel of land managed for biodiversity.

SCHOOL PARENT SUPPORT GROUP

The Charity's purpose is to relive "persons resident in the area who are in need, hardship or distress by making grants of money or paying for items, services or facilities". The area is the electoral wards of Egham, Englefield Green, Hythe and Virginia Water and a beneficiary should, normally, have resided there for not less than five years.

To advance the education of older people not in full time gainful employment, in Wonersh and the surrounding locality, and to provide facilities for leisure time and recreational activities.

Grants to individuals and organisations for medical and related purposes.

Scouting

To maintain land for recreation and public use

Supporting charitable sporting organisations in Epsom & Ewell and elsewhere in Surrey.

The FPPS provides financial assistance to the Pyrford Primary School to assist in the provision of facilities, equipment, trips and for the general welfare of the children.

OFC is a Church focused on spiritual attainment and teaching members the practical steps that can be taken for them to realise their God-given destinies. We believe we are in a time where people need God-inspired practical solutions to life?s challenges. This is the gap this ministry is called to fulfil prayer meetings, educational seminars/lectures and worship service on Sundays

THE GROUP IS A UNIT OF THE SCOUT ASSOCIATION WHICH PROMOTES DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN ACHIEVING THEIR FULL PHYSICAL, INTELLECTUAL, SOCIAL & SPIRITUAL POTENTIALS, AS INDIVIDUALS, RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS & MEMBERS OF THEIR LOCAL, NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITIES. WE PROVIDE AN ENJOYABLE & ATTRACTIVE SCHEME OF PROGRESSIVE TRAINING, BASED ON THE SCOUT PROMISE & LAW, GUIDED BY ADULT LEADERSHIP.
