Charities In Surrey

The activities of the Church are all aimed at the advancement of the Christian faith according to the principles of the Baptist Union of GB. Activities include, but are not restricted to, Sunday services, Toddler Group, Forest Church for all ages (Oakwood Church Hall), Lunch Club. Activities may vary from time to time, with other activities being initiated, expanded or closed, as appropriate.

Educational support and charities currently supported by the Trust,mainly in support of the Roman Catholic religion, together with some support for medical-related charities. The Fund is almost fully committed for the next 5 years.

CARSHALTON CHORAL SOCIETY IS A CHORAL SOCIETY ESTABLISHED IN 1947 TO PERFORM CHORAL MUSIC IN THE LOCAL AREA. MEMBERSHIP IS OPEN TO ALL, AND THERE IS NO AUDITION REQUIREMENT FOR ENTRY. FINANCE IS PROVIDED BY MEMBERS' SUBSCRIPTIONS AND APPLICATIONS TO LOCAL FUNDING AUTHORITIES.

The company's principal activities are to further such charitable purposes for the benefit of the public, in particular the communities on the borders of Southern Middlesex, North Surrey & West Berkshire as the trustees shall determine from time to time particularly, but not exclusively, for those suffering financial hardship or sickness by providing grants or other suitable assistance.

The Society gives choral concerts, which are open to members of the public.

East Park RDA provides riding lessons for children and young adults with physical or learning disabilities from local schools in Surrey and West Sussex. We run 8 sessions per week during term time ,with 6 children per session ,giving 48 children a week a chance to enjoy the benefits that riding brings to the disabled.The charity was founded in February.1999 under reg.no.1074259 .

The charity works by raising funds from voluntary sources within the Diocese of Guildford which are used to make grants to assist local churches and faith-linked organisations develop and sustain community projects. Projects cover a wide range of public sectors including education, youth work, mental health, community development and the relief of homelessness and poverty in the local area.

The provision and maintenance of a village hall for the use of the inhabiatants of the Ecclesiastical parish of St Mary's, Oatlands without distinction of political, religious or other opinions.

To help provide the resources needed to enable Scout Leaders and administrators to deliver Scouting to as many young people as possible in the District.

To support the running of the synagogue by utilising its funds to the best advantage.

THE SOCIETY IS ESTABLISHED TO UNDERTAKE THE FOLLOWING: A)TO PROMOTE EDUCATION AND RESEARCH INTO ALL ASPECTS OF MINES, CAVES AND OTHER UNDERGROUND SITES, ESPECIALLY IN THE SOUTH EAST OF ENGLAND, AND TO PUBLISH THE USEFUL RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH. B) TO PROTECT AND PRESERVE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC, MINES, CAVES AND OTHER UNDERGROUND SITES OF SCIENTIFIC OR EDUCATIONAL INTEREST.

RESEARCH: To co-operate with national and local scientific ornithological enquiries and to study and record all aspects of avifauna in Surrey.PUBLICATION: To produce an annual report on the birds of the county to be known as the Surrey Bird ReportCONSERVATION: To support conservation of birdlife in the countyEDUCATION: To promote an increased interest in ornithology in Surrey

ORGANISATION OF VOLUNTEERS TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO ELDERLY, HOUSEBOUND AND VULNERABLE PEOPLE IN CROYDON. THESE SERVICES INCLUDE SHOPPING BUSES, LUNCH CLUBS, EXTEND EXERCISE CLASSES, SOCIAL EVENTS, TRANSPORT TO HEALTH APPOINTMENTS, CLINICS AND HOSPITALS, BEFRIENDING AND NON TECHNICALADVICE SERVICES. SMALL DOMESTIC ODD JOBS ALSO UNDERTAKEN BY VOLUNTEERS. WE DO NOT MAKE FINANCIAL GRANTS

Fund raising events

The hall is run to benefit the residents of the Molesey community and the surrounding areas in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation, with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents. Sports clubs, social clubs and activity groups are available.

Rental of Village Hall premises for a variety of events, both adhoc and regular rentals. Two offices, one at the rear and one at the front of the village hall rented to Witley Parish Council.

PROMOTE PLAY OPPORTUNITIES FOR LOCAL SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE. RUNNING REGULAR SESSIONS AND INDIVIDUAL EVENTS WITHIN THE CREATIVE ARTS FIELD. WEEKLY SESSIONS OF MUSIC, ART, DANCE AND DRAMA
