Providing support to bereaved British Forces children & young people through our Assistance Programmes: Smiles, Support and Strides. Smiles provides fun-based opportunities for children to smile again. Support is focused on health & well-being & includes access to professional bereavement counselling in conjunction with partners. Strides provides access to small education and development grants.

We provide one-to-one swimming lessons for children with disabilities, then help them join group lessons and succeed in these. We believe that children with disabilities should not be excluded from sport. Our lessons are a powerful tool to help children with disabilities develop physical skills, become socially included and build self-esteem and resilience.

Relief of unemployment through vocational training and job creation. Beneficiaries are unemployed who may be disadvantaged or marginalised. Support will be available to all, but will focus on the Jewish community via grants and investment in charities, social enterprises, businesses or any other projects. The Trustees of the Foundation may consider other applications for smaller grants.

To afford assistance to members and former members of The Institution of Civil Engineers who are in need and to their dependants

Borne is a medical research charity with the mission of preventing premature birth and improving outcomes for mothers and babies. We fund research to strengthen the early-stage research base, build capacity in the field, and foster collaboration between different areas of scientific focus.

To advance education in the UK by providing and assisting the provision of literacy support in such ways as the charity trustees think fit, including the provision of volunteers to UK primary schools to listen to pupils read and encourage their reading skills.

The charity owns a rescue centre in Lancashire. This is staffed by loyal employees who are trained and experienced in all aspects of horse welfare.At the year end, 67 equines were in residence in the centre. Additionally 256 equines were fostered in homes throughout the country.

To promote the art and science of photography, which is enacted through an exhibitions programme, workshops and courses, lectures and events, a distinctions and qualifications programme, an annual photography awards ceremony, a Regional and Overseas structure, Special Interest Groups, and by acting as an advocate for photographers and photography.

The charity makes grants for the purposes of (a) the advancement of education and health through the development of treatments and therapeutic interventions for eating disorders (including anorexia nervosa) and (b) the advancement of education and learning through scholarship in relation to early Judeo-Christian art and culture and its impact on European society.
