UFAW IS AN INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNISED, INDEPENDENT, SCIENTIFIC AND EDUCATIONAL ANIMAL WELFARE CHARITY. THE ORGANISATION IS CONCERNED WITH PROMOTING HIGH STANDARDS OF WELFARE FOR FARM, COMPANION, LABORATORY AND CAPTIVE WILD ANIMALS, AND FOR THOSE ANIMALS WITH WHICH WE INTERACT IN THE WILD.

Amigos works in Uganda to bring sustainability, dignity and hope to disadvantaged people. At Kira Farm Development Centre 40 vulnerable young Ugandans receive training. We run a child-led family sponsorship programme enabling 380 children to go to school. We work in rural communities providing clean water and training in conservation farming, WaSH, appropriate technolgies and conflict resolution.

The MondoChallenge Foundation works with local communities in developing countries to provide hands-on support at grassroots level. The Foundation supports education for adults and children in Nepal, NE Indian Himalayas, Uganda and The Gambia, and livelihoods programmes, particularly in Tanzania where we help women to set up small businesses.

The prevention or relief of poverty by the provision of grants to individuals in need and/or charities, or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty for goods and services, including for the provision of education, training, healthcare projects and all the necessary support designed to enable individuals to generate a sustainable income and be self-sufficient.

Improving the education of young people

We provide sponsored educational support for children in East & Central Africa. Financial support is sent to support individuals, community groups, health clinics and schools. The provision of knitted clothing and blankets to Eastern European orphanages via our shipping partners. The joint funding of small local initiative projects with our overseas partners

Poverty

The charity supports education and disability projects in Kenya, Uganda and Lesotho. We support individuals and their communities in those countries through education that embraces their differing abilities, by providing scholarships, school meals, support to partner schools' infrastructure, and projects to remove the barriers to education facing children with disabilities.

General Charitable Purposes.

Walk21 works with local communities to assess their environment and identify opportunities for improving walkability with the app. We run an international conference to disseminate best practice and share knowledge and network. We advocate for walking at a range of international forums and run workshops with local governments to develop the capacity to deliver better walkability.

To finance the provision of Dental/Medical Services in Uganda Kenya India and the UK with specific reference to medically discharged Royal Marines and the homeless in general

The charity works with African partners on development programmes in Africa including: supporting the resettlement of children in Uganda from a Children's Home into families; supporting disadvantaged children though primary education in Uganda; supporting rural community groups in Uganda towards self reliance; supporting girls in university education in Ethiopia.

Network for Africa works with communities in the aftermath of conflict and genocide, helping them overcome the paralysis of trauma and rebuild their lives with access to education, health and the means to support themselves.

THE SOCIETY OF MEDIATORS EXISTS WORLDWIDE TO:(1) EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT MEDIATION(2) CONTINUE THE EDUCATION OF MEDIATORS(3) PROMOTE MEDIATION(4) PROVIDE SUITABLE VENUES AND MEDIATORS FOR MEDIATION(5) ACCREDIT INDIVIDUAL MEDIATORS; AND (6) PROVIDE A LIBRARY ABOUT MEDIATIONTHE SOCIETY'S TRUSTEES WILL ALSO APPOINT A SUITABLE MEDIATOR WHERE THERE IS NO AGREEMENT BETWEEN PARTIES.

EPW provides reformed Christian literature and training for individual pastors and bible teachers in the majority world who lack resources and/or who have had little formal theological training. The charity also augments seminary libraries. We operate mainly in Africa and Asia but also work in Latin America and Eastern Europe.

The Charity's principal activity is that of the advancement of religion, namely to serve Jesus Christ in the church and in the world in a manner faithful to the Holy Scriptures and as his ambassadors in low income communities to bring solutions to poverty and to promote the relevance, truth and authority of the Holy Scriptures in a manner that leads others to trust and serve Jesus Christ.

52 Lives changes someone's life every week of the year and inspires people to be kind. People nominate someone in need and every week we choose someone to help, share their story and provide what they need. We also run extra projects to help larger numbers of people. In addition we run a School of Kindness, empowering primary school children to create positive change and improve their wellbeing.

Provide donations to organisations in India and Uganda in order to assist them in conducting surgeries on blind people, especially children so that they could restore them full or partial vision.
