Charities In Uganda

We are a Christian-based network of volunteers with business skills and resources that we use to help create or develop businesses aiming to alleviate poverty. Activities include business start up training, mentoring and other support. We are currently especially involved in projects in Burundi, Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda but members' are involved in other countries in Africa and Asia.

THE CHARITY PROMTES THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION BY PRINCIPLES OF MORALITY, BENEVOLENCE AND CHARITY. REACHING OUT TO THE NEEDY, THE HOMELESS, THROUGH GRANTS TO ASSIST PERSONS TO ENJOY A BETTER WAY OF LIFE. PROJECTS ARE UNDERTAKEN IN AFRICA TO PROMOTE EDUCATION TO ORPHANS,HIV/ AIDS VICTIM AND WIDOWS. FARMING PROJECTS ARE FUNDED, GENERAL SUPPORT GIVEN IN ORDER TO ALLEVIATE POVERTY LOCALLY AND OVERSEAS.

The Grifaid Charity is about safe water for all, providing access to safe drinking water for families and communities, resulting in the relief of hardship, the preservation of health and the support of education among people in poverty residing in developing countries.

Be One is a group of people making a dent in global inequality through collective giving. Each individual contributes an affordable monthly donation which funds a project for people living in the world's most marginalised communities. We see ourselves as a monthly subscription to positive change.

Our support is directed principally towards Adonai Family Uganda, a Ugandan NGO. AFU has two main spheres of work: a Child Development Centre (Primary School and accomodation); community based projects e.g. micro-finance initiatives, youth work and family related training courses. We find sponsors for needy children, raise funds to support the other initiatives, visit to volunteer our services.

Works in Collaboration with Basena Agro Creativity Centre in Uganda to Awaken, Strengthen Creativity, Support and Preserve Child Education. Protect the Environment, Provide Good Health, Financial Support for Children and their Families. Encourages Creativity Processes that make a difference to Young Peoples Lives including Inspiring and Empowering Children to Explore, Develop and Grow.

Support the development of health & education at Rock of Joy Childrens Centre,Lungujja and other associated schools in Uganda. Make one-off grants to the schools for equipment & materials & provide regular monthly funding which provides school meals, teacher support & other resources. Developed a health project employing a School Nurse who provides education,prevention & treatment.

We provide overseas aid for water based projects such as building bore holes or providing elephant pumps, irrigation for villages and water troughs for animals.

We give support to selected projects overseas, especially those in which local people are involved. We help communities in poor countries with funds for small scale projects that can create a long-lasting benefit. Typically these include the provision of medical, educational and community facilities and the promotion of new techniques for irregation, education and organic farming.

The Mary Wood Trust strives to advance education and relieve poverty by providing sponsorship, training funds and items for disadvantaged children, young people (especially girls & young women), and those in need in S W Uganda.It also helps to develop facilities in Kanungu District, and in particular at Ruth Memorial Nursery School, Nyakabungo Girls' Secondary School & Nyakatare Health Centre.

The objects of the ISF are the relief of sickness by the promotion, preservation and protection of health based on the context of self-care. ISF?s core strategies are 1. Helping to develop evidence-based self-care concepts, practices and policies and 2. Helping to promote the role of self-care in health.

Social Welfare and Educational Causes for overseas underdeveloped countries

The charity exists to assist and enable the education of children in Uganda. This is the new focus for the charity within the framework of its original objects clause. Charitable activities will be the provision of grants, supplying shoes, uniforms, school fees and any other activity that meet the objectives of the charity.

CSF's primary aim is to enable and create positive, sustainable change in the lives of children living alone and at risk on the streets in Tanzania.

Through its recreational and educational facilities in Uganda and elsewhere to give young people an environment to release their potential as whole people, in respect of their physical, emotional, social and spiritual well being

Works with local charities and individuals in Uganda to relieve poverty and sickness and to provide education for children and others in need. The charity works particularly closely with the St Michael's Children Home in Nsambya. The charity also seeks to raise awareness in the UK of issues of poverty in Uganda.

Reboot Ministry is a Christian charity dedicated to mission and evangelism in England and overseas. It supports the church it planted, Keystone Church in Walsall, and runs worship, youth and community activities, Bible studies, and outreach, helping to nurture faith and serve local and wider communities.
