The objective of Girlguiding Cardiff & East Glamorgan is to facilitate the purpose of Girlguiding UK in its area, by providing a structure and organisation, by training leaders and by obtaining and managing funds to be utilised to this end. Scout group

The main activity of the charity is to maintain and operate the library for the residents of Dinas Powys. It is staffed by volunteers supported by a part-time librarian funded by the Vale of Glamorgan Council. As well as the provision of books, large print and audio, we offer computer access, dvds, photocopying, children's activities and a range of fund raising events.

Pen-Y-Bont Surf Life Saving Club objectives include the following:-saving lives and improving safety standards-promoting, educating, and improving lifesaving techniques, resuscitation and first aid-encouraging young people to participate in lifesaving as a voluntary public service-encouraging the highest standard of teamwork and responsibility-being as diverse as possible to our members

The Trust is a grant-making body. The activities of the Trust are restricted to the objectives as outlined in the Declaration of Trust as approved by the Charities Commissioners. The area that can benefit from the Trust's activities is restricted to the Unitary Authority areas of Bridgend, Cardiff, Merthyr Tydfil, Neath Port Talbot, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Swansea and Vale of Glamorgan.

The conditions in the Bristol Channel can be treacherous, LMSLSC provides continuous voluntary service on the beach.The club is located at the beach in Llantwit Major and we provide a voluntary lifeguard service and first aid point.LMSLSC has a high standing in the local community providing sport and education from nippers to masters.

We aim to support the needy in the community and particularly those in ill health, the young, the elderly, and general community needs. We do this primarily by raising money which is then donated to charities, organisations, or individuals who match with the charity's aims for helping people.

Porthcawl U3A is a learning co-operative of older people. Its programme includes lectures, educational visits, cultural and social events and a wide range of study and interest groups.

Gulu Mission Initiative is a not for profit charitable organisation working alongside the disadvantaged communities in Northern Uganda that have been affected by the long running war that continues now in Sudan and the DRC.Its principal objective is to advance education in the community of Gulu through the construction, maintenance and support of a school and associated educational activities.

The garden is situated in the centre of Cowbridge and is open free of charge 364 days a year. It is designed to increase awareness of the long history of medicinal plants in the development of pharmaceuticals and also provides horticultural and educational resources for all as well as being a place for relaxation.

We seek to serve school communities by presenting information about the Christian faith in line with statutory requirements. When a headteacher invites us, a local worker visits the school to take part in an assembly or teach a particular aspect of the school's provision. We work in South-East Wales, mainly in Welsh-medium primary schools.

Whitmore Bay Surf Life Saving Club was established in 2003 and is based at the main beach on Barry Island,Barry,Vale of Glamorgan,Wales.Whitmore Bay SLSC is a voluntary,not-for-profit organisation,committed to providing a safe beach and aquatic environment to the community of Barry Island,whilst developing life saving skills and fitness of its members.
