We do not have a geographic constraint despite being named as in 'Reading' - we welcome members from as far as they are willing to travel.

To advance the education of pupils at Brookfields School, by assisting in the provision of facilities or resources [not required to be provided by the LEA] for their development.To promote the social inclusion and community development of pupils and their families, by providing opportunities and experiences not available or otherwise restricted due to disabilities at wider community events.

Raising funds through donations and events to support the work of the Willink School

Fund raising events, such as Summer Fete, Christmas Bazaar and other social events. Making donations to Stockcross School for classroom and play equipment and school trips. Organising social events such as discos and quiz nights.

Identify various projects to improve the environment in the Goring Gap area and engage with and educate the local community to progress those projects.

The retiring director Sally Trench, has at the Trustees request, been researching possible projects in the UK and South Africa which support imaginative new initiatives of direct benefit to groups of children recovering from specific crises in their lives, with special emphasis on self-help schemes that the Trustees may wish to support when the sale proceeds of the property have been received.

Preparation, promotion and performance of public choral concerts.

Engaging with a wide variety of community and voluntary groups as well as statutory organisations on issues of common concern. Promoting good relations between diverse communities.

The Friends of Woolhampton raise money through events. They often hold one main event each school term, forexample, a Christmas fair in the winter, a quiz in the spring, and a summer fair. Other PTA eventsinclude school uniform sales, raffles, cake sales, sponsored events and many more to raise money to enhance the educational experience of the children at Woolhampton Primary.

Education and Training of retired people

Weekly rehearsals of music, and regular performances.

Financial support for the provision of facilities, resources, equipment and activities for the educational enrichment of pupils at Streatley Primary School.

The object of the Charity, in accordance with its Memorandum of Association, is the education of boys aged between 4 and 13, both boarders and day boys.

Sale of Religious Books and associated articles. Sale of Tradecraft goods.Community Room

We raise money and run events to;1) Promote the Educational and Pastoral development of the children in the school 2) Promote the social cohesion within the school and the broader school communityWe work closely with the school in deciding on the projects that FOBS can support. We are friends of the school and endeavour to support the head teacher, staff and pupils.

The choir rehearses on a weekly basis and is constantly preparing for concerts and events. There is a calendar of events produced on a rolling basis at least one year in advance. Some concerts provide charitable donations.

Fund-raising and community involvement

We organise school community events for children and parents these have included: Summer and Christmas fetes, school discos, film evenings, craft sessions, gift wrap and Christmas card fund raisers.

Provision of hall for hire.

Provision of transport to the disabled/disadvantaged to enable them to use medical services at hospitals and medical practices. Visits to opticians, dentists etc. Localised shopping, clubs etc.

The Parent Teachers Association raises money through a variety of events during the year which are organised by the committee. The money raised is then spent in agreement by the school.
