In partnership with local voluntary organisations, and in cooperation with the statutory and business sectors, Selsey Community Forum seeks to identify local community needs and to initiate and fund projects to develop required services. In addition, the charity operates Selsey Care Shop which coordinates and delivers a variety of adult social care services for the local community.

We overcome loneliness experienced by older people through befriending. We provide one to one befriending, group befriending, events, seasonal outreach and social prescribing in Brighton and Hove, Adur and Worthing in Sussex.

Diverting waste wood away from landfill and incineration in East and West Sussex. Promoting the re-use and recycling of waste wood. Seeking to establish, and raise awareness of, a circular economy. Producing new products from reclaimed timber at our workshop in Brighton. Working with many disadvantaged people, offering accredited training and volunteering opportunities, within a caring environment

Providing psychological and counselling services to the general public Providing placement opportunities for those training in the field

The Trust aims to conserve and improve the rivers, streams and other waterbodies of the Sussex Ouse and Adur catchments, and elsewhere as deemed appropriate in the Environment Agency's South East region, for the advancement of environmental protection or improvement for the benefit of the public, including through education and participation in research and a range of appropriate projects.

To provide financial support for cancer research and for the provision, maintenance and replacement of facilities, equipment and buildings for the Radiotherapy and Oncology department at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.

(1) To educate the public concerning the benefits of secure couple relationships in various ways. (2) To promote research into all aspects of couple relationships. (3) To seek to enhance the good health of adults and children by increasing public awareness of the benefit of committed couple relationships.

Taylor Made Dreams enables children with life threatening illnesses to achieve their dreams. It also provides therapeutic support to the families, and helps to create lasting precious memories for the families to cherish when their time together is all far too short. Taylor Made Dreams provides medical travel grants, medical sheepskin fleeces, family portraits and memory pendants.

CAPITAL provides independent community and peer support for people experiencing mental health issues. We are completely led, managed and run by people with lived experience. We provide peer support workers within acute mental health hospitals, run patient forums, membership services & work together with commissioners and partners to change local mental health services through coproduction.

The relief of poverty amongst families in Afghanistan and Pakistan; in particular but not by way of limitation amongst orphans and widows by provision of material assistance in order to meet their needs for food, water and basic health care and education.The Charity campaigns against poverty, in particular those raising awareness as regards to hardship endured by children and women.

Partnership working in prisons & the community; providing volunteer mentors for people involved in the criminal justice system, supporting them holistically to change behaviour and reduce harm to the community; recruiting training and supporting community members to volunteer; delivery of mentoring service; identifying appropriate specialised services for referral; applications to grant funding.

Maintain and run an independent Museum with natural history, human history and geology collections, together with local archives and provide exhibition space.

We aim to relieve poverty and hardship by supplying e.g furniture of all kinds,clothing,bedding packs,kitchen packs to those in need working with local Authorities.We collect daily donated items of furniture it is then sorted at our project and redistributed out to our clients work in Hampshire and in Romania for 28 years supporting families supplying clothes, bedding,from our distribution base

To promote and protect physical and mental health by providing opportunities to access open spaces by harnessing the healing power of the natural environment, ecotherapy. It has sixty acres and will share the farm to provide vital access to open space for those in the community whose well-being would benefit most while also ensuring the habitat is protected and enhanced.

4Sight provides about 5000 vision impaired people with information, guidance & on-going support to promote independence & prevent social isolation following sight loss. We help people to access advice, equipment, skills & services needed to improve health & wellbeing, build confidence & participate actively in their community and family life.4Sight also campaigns to remove barriers to inclusion

To promote, maintain, improve and advance education, particularly by the encouragement of the visual arts and places where they may be practised and where art and artefacts may be exhibited with particular reference to the education of the public and the encouragement of the arts in Sussex and other parts of the UK.

The organisation focuses on the Indian community in serving their needs and helping to integrate them into mainstream society. GHU also looks to share the rich cultural and spiritual history of India more widely through common inter-community experiences.GHU provides services for the young and old making up the shortfall that the statutory bodies are unwilling or unable to provide.
