We are a charity tackling inequality in Brighton and Hove through community-led solutions.We deliver community development work, youth work, research and training.Community-led solutions produce longer lasting and more meaningful change. When we connect people, organisations and communities this maximises our resources and improves our well-being.

The main object is the furthering the teaching of the Buddha in the UK. The Charity's main activity is the development, maintenance and upkeep of two Theravada Buddhist monasteries in the UK. These provide focal points for members of the public to learn or deepen their understanding of Buddhism. Typical activities include meditation classes and retreats, public talks and formal ceremonies.

IMPACT's aim is simple, that no one should become or remain needlessly disabled by disease, lack of knowledge or shortage of medical facilities. IMPACT works in the UK and in some of the poorest countries of Africa and Asia. IMPACT is cost-conscious and cost-effective.

Community Transport Sussex provides transport services and support to the residents & community groups across West Sussex and it's envirions, with the aim of relieving socail isolation and loneliness. Those services are aimed at all those people who, by way of; disability, age, mobility problems, financial disadvantage, rural or other isolation factor, find it difficult to access public transport.

The Bevern Trust is a Christian trust founded by parents to provide long stay care and short stay care in a safe, loving and stimulating environment for young people with complex needs arising from profound learning disabilities and other impairments (physical, sensory and communicative).

Training in horticulture, cookery, carpentry, and the skills relating to the marketing and sale of related products. The provision of support for independent living.

The objectives are the relief of poverty in the borough of Crawley by providing shelter, food, clothing, financial assistance, day care and advice to those in need of such relief.

West Sussex Music is the largest provider of high-quality music education in West Sussex. It is dedicated to supporting schools and teachers to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people. West Sussex Music fulfills its role as the Music Education Hub for West Sussex by collaborating with a range of strategic partners to nurture, inspire and enrich; changing lives through music.

Provision of residential and nursing care to the elderly in the vicinity of Lindfield, West Sussex

The Emmaus Brighton & Hove Community offers a home and meaningful work to 53 men and women, many of whom have been formerly homeless. 7 social enterprises generate funds which support the work of the Community - 6 retail shops and a cafe. Residents (Companions) can stay as long as they need. The Community is committed to helping those in greatest need through its solidarity work.

Educational and social development through the experience of adventurous activities

Stansted Park Foundation is a landed charitable Trust which owns and administers the Stansted Park Estate in West Sussex.

The Charity operates as a Care Home, providing residential and nursing care for up to 27 older people with a connection to Chichester or the surrounding area.

The objectives of the charity, which have been applied during the year, are set out in the Trust Deed. Such objectives require the trustees to apply the property, Honeywood House, as a nursing home for the members of the public requiring long or short term care.

The Charity's objects are the relief of sickness and infirmity through the provision of nursing care and to provide a short stay nursing and convalescent home for the benefit of any disabled or sick person upon terms appropriate to their means and to provide medical and/or nursing care of limited duration for any disabled or sick person.

The Shanly Foundation makes awards to organisations in South East England that work for community benefit, including: Children & young people, the elderly, people with disabilities and other charities or voluntary bodies.The Shanly Foundation was established in 1997 under previous charity number 1065044. In 2018, it updated its legal structure and registered with a new charity number 1182155.

The charity is responsible for the RSPCA Brighton Animal Shelter, which provides care, veterinary treatment and rehoming for unwanted domestic animals, including reptiles. The Shelter has a first aid and holding unit for injured wildlife. Over 3000 animals are cared for at the Shelter each year. The charity provides subsidised neutering for cats, dogs and rabbits, for people on low incomes.

Aims -To take in unwanted, abandoned or stray cats, kittens and rabbits, and give them a good quality of life until it is possible to find a loving, permanent home for them.To educate the public in responsible pet ownership.To eliminate indiscriminate breeding by encouraging the neutering of all pets, including pedigrees.To advise and help the public in the humane control of feral cats.

The provision of care and protection of donkeys and mules.

The objects of the charity are to promote, maintain, improve and advance public education, appreciation and understanding of Youth Arts. The charitable company continues to explore new ways of improving provision for young people in creative activities.

The principal objectives of the Charity are to open Parham to the public and maintain the historic Elizabethan House, its contents and surrounding parkland, woodlands and farmland amounting to approx 900 acres. Ancillary to the main activities of the Charity, other activities are undertaken e.g. catering room, house & garden shop, events and educational courses appropriate for this environment.

Amaze is a charity that offers information, advice and support to parent carers of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities in Brighton and Sussex. We also work directly with young people up to 25. We support parent carers and young people through the emotional and practical demands of getting the right services in finance, education, health care and leisure.

Services and support for people who have experienced any form of sexual abuse or sexual violence including a telephone/e-mail helpline, Counselling, advocacy/practical support, drop in service, therapeutic group work. We also provide training for professionals and campaign to end the future abuse of women and children and lessen the taboo around sexual abuse.
