Education and leisure for elderly in Pewsey Vale

General charitable purposesChilmark Reading Room is constituted as a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of Chilmark and other nearby villages without distinction of sex or politics, religious and other opinions

Charity objectives are to advance the Christian faith; to relieve sickness and financial hardship; counselling and support; to assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation/leisure occupations including the training in life skills.Activities include - church meetings, ministry, cafe, working with Street Pastors, children and youth work, overseas mission

Grants awarded for education/apprenticeship/training purposes for young people up to the age of 25 resident in the civil parishes of Tisbury or West Tisbury. Applications taken by telephone, email, website and in writing.

The Charity works with Castle Mead School, its pupils, their parents and the localcommunity to put on events such as our September and Christmas Fairs, discos, cake sales and forest school afternoons. These help strengthen the school community, raise funds and develop a relationship with the local community. We use our funds to purchase items for the school that it could otherwise not afford.

The charitable purpose of the charity is to promote the development of young people in achieving their physical, intellectual and social potential as individuals and as responsible citizens by the provision of education and leisure time activities using a nautical theme and in accordance with the principles, ethos and practices of the Marine Society & Sea Cadets (MSSC).

Fundraising to supplement school funds.

Ashton Keynes WI holds regular members meetings, also Group meetings, social and occasional community-related activities within the village.

We are a committee of parents and staff who fundraise throughout the year, organising events such as discos, a school ball, bikeathon and barn dances. All monies raised go back to the school to enhance the learning experience and environment for the pupils.

Providing a place for Christian burial, within an environment that fits into the Wardour countryside, for Catholics of the parish of 'The Sacred Heart', Tisbury and 'All Saints' Wardour.

Provision of a 'good neighbour' service to the four villages of Bratton, Edington, Coulston and Erlestoke.

Organising early music activities for amateur musicians throughout the south west region.

Provision of Village Hall for the use of the inhabitants of the Parish of Hindon for meetings, lectures, classes and other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation.

Village Hall for use of inhabitants of Farley and surrounding areas for meetings, coffee mornings, recreational and leisure activities

Providing opportunity for public, both military & civilian, in the area of Hampshire & Wiltshire to participate in music, especially choral works, without any reference to musical background, nor requiring any audition.To provide this opportunity by means of public performances across a range of choral & other musical genres for the education & entertainment of participants & local community.

FUNDRAISING EVENTS SUCH AS BONFIRE NIGHTS, BALLS, FETES, QUIZ NIGHTS, DISCOS AND FAIRS.

Parent Teacher Association to enhance lives of children in the school

Southern Union Chorus promotes and encourages the singing of four-part male-voice harmony in the Barbershop style. We aim to advance, improve, devlop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of the art of Barbershop singing. Income from public Sing-Outs provides donations to deserving Charities. We run annually a free 'Learn to Sing" course open to male members of the general public.
