Samaritans' main aim is to reduce the incidence of death by suicide but we also support anyone in distress of any kind. Samaritans provide a 24/7 support service to anyone distressed or in despair by Freephone telephone line, e-mail and Web Chat. We are also committed to local outreach work to make our service known.

The provision of funds towards projects for community welfare and the improvement of health and education in Merseyside, Wirral and North Wales.

Musical Theatre Performances at Ellesmere Port and other venues twice yearly and concert performances in venues within the local area of Ellesmere Port and the Wirral. Also includes our Junior section Footloose Musicals. Due to COVID 19 during 2020 / 2021 the Society have been unable to hold rehearsals or perform. We were also unable to run our AGM which was scheduled for November 2020.

Raising funds for the school

The principal objects and activities of the charity are the provision of resources and facilities that benefit and support young people who are disadvantaged by reason of having become the victims of crime or bereavement and to reward those who are judged to have shown exemplary conduct making a positive contribution to sick or disabled relatives or to the welfare of others or society in general.

Sunday Worship, with junior church, youth music group and youth fellowship.Youth Club 4 evenings per week that serves young people with additional needs,Neighbourhood Centre;Support for community groups and local charities and a base for the Street Pastors also a distribution centre for the local food bank.

Hosting art exhibitions and offering various art/craft courses to the public.

Promote all aspects of health education among young people, especially the issues of healthy lifestyles and anti-drugs education. Promote drug awareness & citizenship to young people, helping them to make the right choices in life.

RELIEVE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OF OWNERS OF COMPANION ANIMALS BY PROVIDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, HELP AND ADVICE REGARDING THE NEUTERING OF THEIR ANIMALS; ANDTO PROMOTE HUMANE BEHAVIOUR TOWARDS ANIMALS BY PROVIDING ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE REGARDING THE NEUTERING OF COMPANION ANIMALS AND EDUCATING THE PUBLIC IN MATTERS RELATING TO ANIMAL WELFARE IN GENERAL AND THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY AND SUFFERING

SCOUT GROUP

To advance the education of the public and in particular of older people no longer in full time gainful employment in Chester and its surrounding locality. To provide facilities for leisure time and recreational activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the above persons in the interests of their social welfare.

Makes grants to the aged, blind and disabled persons and pensioners

Provides a day service for adults with disabilities and/or mental illness with opportunities to learn life skills through the therapeutic use of all aspects of horticulture to create a working environment in which people can participate. We grow for sale organic fruit and vegetables and keep bees. We also sell composted manure seasoned split logs and wood chippings.

We seek to improve the quality of life of those who by virtue of age, disability or social factors are disadvantaged or deprived. We do so by providing day trips and short residential breaks on our fully adapted canal boats, crewed by our experienced and fully qualified volunteers.

Age-appropriate preventive education for young people and awareness for parents/carers around the dangers & consequences of Volatile Substance Misuse, Substance Misuse, Vaping and County Lines. Training for professionals and community awareness events. Support and/or counselling for the user and their families.

The provision of facilities for recreation and other leisure-time occupation in the interests of social welfare with the object of improving the conditions of life for those persons in particular vulnerable men and boys with multi/complex needs and or suicide ideation resident in Birkenhead and neighbouring areas of Merseyside.

Regular meetings

We work with the most disadvantaged Women & Children in Uganda & Kenya. Most of our work is in the cities and mostly in the slum areas. We try to Empower Women through self-help assistance projects. Since 2016 we have been concentrating on the rescue and rehabilitation of street orphans, girls and boys in the city of Kampala in Uganda. We provide a safe family style home food and education.

Proving sanctuary for unwanted or sick animals.

THE PURPOSE OF THE SCHOOL FUND IS:TO PROVIDE ENHANCEMENT ACTIVITIES FOR THE STUDENTS AND SUPPORT FOR PARENTS IN FINANCIAL NEED. TO ENHANCE THE EDUCATION OF STUDENTS BY DEVELOPING THE SCHOOL'S GROUNDS AND IMPROVING THE SCHOOL'S RESOURCES.THE FUND RECEIVES DONATIONS FROM PARENTS, PUPILS, STAFF AND THE LOCAL COMMUNITY.THE FUND MAKES DONATIONS TO CHOSEN CHARITIES.

DISTRICT SCOUT COUNCIL PROVIDING SUPPORT, IN BEBINGTON, TO PROMOTE THE DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN ACHIEVING THEIR FULL PHYSICAL, INTELLECTUAL, SOCIAL AND SPIRITUAL POTENTIALS AS INDIVIDUALS, AS RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS AND AS MEMBERS OF THEIR LOCAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITIES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE AIMS AND GUIDELINES OF THE SCOUT MOVEMENT.
