Support, encouragement, enrichment and reward for young people in education

The Charity ran a poetry competition for the 15th year running, in-conjunction with Wirral Libraries & Wirral Poetry Festival. Wirral residents aged under 18 were invited to submit a poem on the subject of " HOPE". Over 380 outstanding entries were received. The winners & their families attended an awards evening hosted by local poets Levi Tafari & John Hughes at Birkenhead Library in July 2024 .

INTERCHANGE IS AN EDUCATION AND TRAINING PROVIDER, WHICH WORKS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE THREE HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS ACROSS MERSEYSIDE. IT ACTS AS A BROKERAGE SERVICE TO OFFER THIRD SECTOR ORGANISATIONS ACROSS MERSEYSIDE SUPPORT IN ACCESSING RESEARCHERS, VOLUNTEERS AND HUMAN RESOURCES IN THE FORM OF STUDENT PLACEMENTS.

Training and Education

We have five groups that play a wide range of music on classical instruments. We hold at least three public performances each year, one of which is to raise funds for local childrens charities.

Funds obtained towards Grants will be raised through sponsored activities, donations, fund applications and via Amazon 'smile' commission. Grants will vary between £50 and £500

We are an arts charity and provide an annual "Samba Carnival" event in Liverpool. The event is now styled "Brazilica" and was run as an extended 4 day event in July 2011.It now has fringe events throughout July including film screenings in various locations. Artistes, musicians and performers travel locally, nationally and internationally to take part.community workshops take place weekly .

The society continues to hold a minimum of five public meetings a year (see statement of accounts) and the membership is asked if they have a preference as to where we should give donations and what we should do to enhance the area. The usual five public meetings have been suspended due to Covid restrictions
