To organise and promote the traditional Carnival Procession held annually in November, the annual Carnival Concert held annually in early October, the traditional Squibbing display held after the carnival procession and fund raising in furtherance of the above. We work closely with Birmingham Children's Hospital & Torbay Hospital to support the multi-disciplinary clinics for Alstrom patients. We raise money for research. We endeavour to raise awareness of Alstrom Syndrome. We provide a 24 hour answer-machine help-line.

The Branch's activities are to run a local veterinary clinic scheme to help those who need financial assistance to seek veterinary treatment, to operate two charity shops to raise funds for the charities activities, to run a cat rescue centre jointly with other local RSPCA branches, to carry out home visits, to rescue and re-home animals and to promote the work of the branch to the local community

Shamrock Education Trust (SET) is a UK based charity which raises funds to support education and children's rights in Nepal. SET comprises three trustees who have all volunteered as teachers in Nepal.

The Retreat takes in unwanted, neglected, abused and sick animals and provides vet care, facilities for their rehabilitation, food, and a safe haven. We aim, where possible, to rehome animals (subject to home checks). The Retreat has volunteers who carry out the day to day care of the animals and fundraising.

Alkionides UK supports low-income families from Cyprus undergoing medical treatment in UK hospitals. It provides free accommodation in north London, the Alkionides 'Nest'. We also have a dynamic team in Birmingham and the Midlands who similarly support patients sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital. We raise funds with the help of generous sponsors and by organising cultural events and social functions

We support refugees and their families to ensure they are given the protection they need, are able to settle successfully in the local community,rebuild their lives in safety and dignity and be treated with respect and understanding. A well-led volunteer team work with 8 staff members to undertake case-work, mentoring for clients, fundraising and awareness raising in the local community.
